Tropical cyclone development is not anticipated across the eastern Pacific or the Atlantic Basin on Tuesday. In the Atlantic Basin, an area of low pressure will be located roughly midway between the west coast of Africa and the Cape Verde Islands. This system will have a low, 10% chance to develop into a tropical cyclone as it moves westward. In the eastern Pacific, a cluster of showers and thunderstorms along the coasts of southern Mexico and Guatemala will have also have a low, 10% chance to develop into a tropical cyclone as it drifts west northwestward. Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture will continue to initiate widespread rain and thunderstorms across western, central and southern Mexico. The northeastern corner of the country will stay mostly clear of precipitation. Mexico City can expect afternoon and evening thunderstorms with a high of 74(F)/ 23(C).
