Weather Underground Forecast for Tuesday, May 06, 2014
High pressure will build over the eastern Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday, keeping conditions mostly clear across Mexico. The exception to this will be along southern Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula, where a cold frontal boundary will trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mexico City will be partly cloudy with a high of 82(F)/ 27(C), while Cancun will have a chance of afternoon showers with a high of 84(F)/ 28(C). These conditions will carry over to Central America, where more organized rain and thunderstorms will develop. Countries that can expect stormy weather include Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador and Honduras. An easterly wave of moisture will also usher thunderstorms across Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Across the Caribbean, the aforementioned frontal boundary will bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to Cuba, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
