I observed an earthquake earlier this afternoon and I was in my apartment (I live on the 5th floor). It was the most scariest thing I ever experienced since my building swayed a bit. Anyways watch out for Irene this late weekend (the coastal areas of the east). It's still a bit early to tell what exactly what it will do and where but do keep an eye on the weather. We probably won't know until Friday or Saturday. Anyways, it's been a while I posted something on here and today was a great example due to the quake. Stay safe.

I was woken up by some thunder and lightning at around 4 A.M while I was trying to sleep. Otherwise, getting some light to moderate rain falling. I was not able to get outside since it has moved through (the first wave of thunder). There isn't that much lightning so that's why I am staying inside. If the thunder gets loud (which it shouldn't), then I'll head out to my car. The 8-12-10 thunderstorm was much louder and lasted longer which I taped and posted to youtube...

Yes, I encountered 2 severe thunderstorms, 1 while I was downtown at 12:30 P.M and another while I was driving back from the bowling alley at 4 P.M. The result is from a cold front to our north and that will move through later on this evening. I am not expecting any more thunderstorms for today but it is still a little muggy outside.

I am currently experiencing a few snow flurries as of 8 A.M. I was tracking this whole storm and I kind of knew it wasn't going to hit us big time. Might still get pieces of the storm come later tonight into tomorrow but who knows. The snow accumulations should not be a big deal but be ready for wind gusts later as the storm p-grad tightens. I think we may still get up to 50-60 MPH gusts of cold wind but I guess we'll have to see where this thing will end up before ...

There was a chance of snow and rain but now it appears this is going to be all rain. Seems like we will most likely be in the warm sector of this storm. It might start as a brief period of a wintry mix on late sunday night but that will change quickly to all rain during the day monday. We will find out tomorrow exactly what the deal with monday's weather will be.

About car6846
I love to videotape thunderstorms in my car. I have been doing so for years and I enjoy it. I also want to be a storm spotter but didn't sign up yet.
