Back to the Mojave Preserve, to Hole in the Wall campground.
Three nights , 4 days of a lot of fun, hiking and relaxing! We made a day trip on 4 wheel road called New York Mountain road.
Though for the most part a two wheel drive high clearance vehicle would not have a problem.

My friend has been searching for a new Corgi pup for a couple of months and I do believe she found they right one yesterday.
We traveled to Valley Center yesterday. A neat town with winding roads, big horse ranches, avocado groves, ponds, big houses, little houses , views of mountains and valleys, huge boulders with moss, and oak trees! A perfect place to pick out the perfect pup!

Wouldn’t it be nice to have beautiful plants in your yard that take the cold, heat, wind, drought, floods and anything else that your area can drum up and live through it!! Plants that you don’t have to fuss over, change out the existing soil , water constantly, protect from the wind, fertilize , and generally make an entirely new environment for the plant. If this sounds appealing to you then GO NATIVE!

If you live in California or just visited you might have driven on the 15 freeway on the way to Las Vegas or points beyond. Lots and lots of barren hills and valleys. You may not have known at the time that the land on the east side of the 15 freeway is the boundary of the Mojave National Preserve. Didn’t look too interesting, huh!
