Part 3 Mountains

I am at home in the mountains, that is where I get strength and serenity. And the West has the most awesome mountains to see, climb, and photograph. Here are many of the mountains we saw.

Have you heard of the bison jam in Yellowstone? Well in Jasper National Park on the way to Lake Malign they have a Ewe Jam!! Big Horn Sheep Ewes that is.

Looking for handouts, we encountered many panhandling sheep, LOL!

The above is Pettit Lake in the Sawtooth mountain range of Idaho. On the dirt road out Mr. P received a ticket from a US forest service patrolman for doing what we call a California stop, LOL! Prettiest place ever to get a ticket!

Part one of the TRIP

Well the lazy days of camping and loafing, hiking and driving are over! Tagg seems completely wore out in my chair at North Forks, Idaho. Camping next to the Salmon River, where two Ospreys were chasing a Bald Eagle. The Eagle swooped down right behind (sounded like a big wind) then came up beside us and ended up losing the fish he had just caught!

I was going to close down my blog for the duration of our trip, but Briar had a good idea. I am going to keep tabs on how much gasoline we use and how much it will cost us for the entire trip. Can you guess how much gas and how much it will cost???? A hint the FJ uses between 10-12 gallons per mile (pretty crummy I know).
