Pool Party.

By: birdyboo, 3:02 AM GMT on December 28, 2005

Our geese don't get to go swimming in the pool very often but for Christmas they had a pool party.

These are the Sebastopol geese. They have a defect in the shaft of the feather that causes the feather to be floppy and to grow longer than usual. They have a perpetually disheveled appearance that is very appealing but also means they can not fly.

You can find more about this rare breed at The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.

Tongues are wagging...

By: birdyboo, 2:53 PM GMT on December 11, 2005

I loved this well titled shot of the giraffe with his tongue out by Marcel23. It did make me smile. And reminded me of the great shot oneshotww put up a few days ago. I thought this would be a good time to start a collection of these shots that we all get from time to time that do make us smile when we see them.

Ill be looking for more to add but if you have one please send me the link. I would love to have a nice collection tongues for this busy season when sometimes we need a reminder to stop and just smile.

Big thank yous to all the WUPPs whose quick action captured these wonderful shots and to the elves who have been my eyes on this project wanderingtexgrrl, oneshotww, Marlis, JeeKeee, AnneAbrams, Leia, speakeasy, imaris, and [your name goes here] big {{{{HUGS}}}]. Keepm coming!
