Burning Daylight

I was just browsing through a bunch of the other blogs for awhile. Then, I glanced at the time and realized that between the dog walk and horse feeding, all I had done was browse and drink my coffee and I was "Burning Daylight". So, I wondered, in that inner voice that talks to me when noone else is around, where did that expression come from? Most recently, it was used often by some friends who visited the ranch last year. But, I expected it must have some origin. Afterall, except for any new scrambled word I or others make up, all of the words I know are someone else's words. A quick google gave me this for "Burning Daylight". And, while not necessarily the first source of the phrase, I decided to go with it. And still, I sit here clicking the mouse and tapping the keys ... burning daylight!

Time to get up and about the ranch to see what's going to happen today!

Sunrise From West Hill (bionicdan)
Sunrise was taking place just as I started the dog walk up the west hill. I turned and took a couple of images as the dogs climbed the hill following me.

WOW! You sure have some beautiful photos of your neck of the woods. I am not that familiar with that part of the country except I'm told it has a big sky and is cold in the winter! Thanks for your comment! Claire
