Watching TD18 with some concerns for the Northeast. Several models, including GFS AND Euro, bring this storm up the Eastern Seaboard. How strong and what type of storm remains to be seen. Several scenerios are possible. With a negative tilt to the jet expected to be in place, it is quite possible that the storm could ride the jet and make landfall in Southern New England. Another possibility would be for the TD to be nudged out to sea with a secondary storm forming along the East coast. I cant post no model info due to problems with my pc but I will try and resolve this issue.
Did you get the same warm, sunny weather after yesterday's storm blew through as we did? the puddles were lakes and it was still windy but the it felt more like a May day than December!
Hope all is well!

Hi Peace!! Yes, it was 67 degrees here, broke a record in fact. But back to reality, temps dropping to the 40's for highs and maybe a little snow tomorrow night

hi Gams!! Yes, It's a chilly, damp day here, and as colder air filters in, the rain will changeover to snow. We are looking at 1" maybe 2" of snowfall. North of the area upwards to 5" will blanket the area.
Enjoy your weekend, and loved the pics of your garden

This upcoing storm will be a snow, uickly changing to rain along the shore of CT. The further inland you go, the slower the changeover. Either way, a slushy start to my Weds.AM, with a rainy day on tap.

Hey BT...hope all is going well with you. Still no snow here in SW Ontario but we have had alot of rain and milder temps. Should start cooling off by morning a little then another cold snap is coming. We may see a bit of snow then.
Christmas will soon be here so I wish you the very best of ones now that things are going so much better for you.
BIG HUGS dear one.

Cold temps remain in place, thanks to a strong low pressure system in eastern Canada. developing Low pressure is going to be a bomb of a storm. I need to check the other models, a bit more north and west and Southern New England could be in for a significant snowstorm. Timewise would be Saturday morning through early Sunday morning.
THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY AND SOUTHEAST NEW YORK.
.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
A STRONG COASTAL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS DEVELOPING OVER THE NORTHWEST GULF OF MEXICO. THIS STORM SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO TRACK TO THE NORTHEAST NEAR CAPE HATERRAS ON SATURDAY...AND THEN MOVE TO THE NORTHEAST. THE LATEST FORECAST SUGGESTS THAT THE TRACK OF THIS STORM IS MOVING FURTHER TO THE WEST AND CLOSER TO THE FORECAST AREA. THERE IS AN INCREASED PROBABILITY OF MEASURABLE SNOW OVER LONG ISLAND...SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT AND THE NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA LATER IN THE DAY ON SATURDAY LASTING INTO SUNDAY.
THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THE EXACT STORM TRACK WHICH WILL HAVE A LARGE IMPACT ON THE EVENTUAL OUTCOME OF THE STORM. SMALL DEVIATIONS IN STORM TRACK CAN LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES IN FORECAST SNOWFALL. IF THE CERTAINTY FOR A SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION INCREASES... WINTER STORM WATCHES MAY BECOME NECESSARY.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS AND THOSE PLANNING TRAVEL SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SHOULD MONITOR NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECASTS FOR THE LATEST UPDATES ON THIS POTENTIAL STORM.
