Watching TD18 with some concerns for the Northeast. Several models, including GFS AND Euro, bring this storm up the Eastern Seaboard. How strong and what type of storm remains to be seen. Several scenerios are possible. With a negative tilt to the jet expected to be in place, it is quite possible that the storm could ride the jet and make landfall in Southern New England.
Another possibility would be for the TD to be nudged out to sea with a secondary storm forming along the East coast.
I cant post no model info due to problems with my pc but I will try and resolve this issue.

Thanks Pros!!! Good to hear from ya. He is a good kid and from what I heard things are coming together nicely for him.
I plan on being around more as I slowly emerge from my shell. I lived like a recluse most of the spring and summer and thats no good. The longer you go down that path the harder it is to get out

So glad that fences are being mended. Your son is showing some maturity with the admission that he went about things in the wrong way.
Glad that you are back on WU.

Be careful BT...Don't take any chances. Stay where its safe. Let us know how you make out once the storm passes.

The first of Earls feeder bands is moving across Long Island Sound and on the way. Expecting tropical storm conditions as Earl passes well to the east. GFS model continues to show thunderstorms to develop as the storm eye widens and the storm interacts with the trough to the west. This will Also produce strong gusty winds.

The only good thing that cameout of it was the monster ventilated his head when it was overso the families can heal

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY ART!

Let Freedom Ring

The Liberty Bell rung July 8, 1776 to announce the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.

This bell has had quite a history.
On November 1, 1751, a bell was ordered from the Whitechapel Foundry in England with the intention it should hang in the State House steeple, now Independence Hall.
September 2, 1752, the bell arrived and March 10, 1753 in was hung. It cracked while the sound was being tested. The break was believed to be cause by flaws in the casting.
The cracked bell was melted down and recast by the local Philadelphia foundry. An ounce and a half to a pound of copper was added in an attempt to make the new bell less brittle. The tone of this bell was not liked and so it was again melted down and recast.
In June of 1753 the bell was hung again but the tone was still not approved of. A new bell was ordered from England. After it arrived it was agreed that it sound no better than the last. The previous bell was left in the steeple and the new bell was placed in the cupola on the State House roof and attached to the clock to sound the hours.

Independence Day is the celebration of adoption of the Declaration of Independence. It was written by Thomas Jefferson and signed by the Second Continental Congress - July 4, 1776. This statement gave the colonies freedom from Great Britain.

Independence Day was first observed in Philadelphia on July 8, 1776. In 1941, Congress declared July 4 a federal legal holiday.

"It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore."

BT, are you ok? I hope the tornado didn't hit near you. I heard on the news about the horrible weather in Conn and immediately thought about you. Please post how things are at your house. I hope all is well. When are you moving down our way??

Hi Ogal, the tornado was 20 miles due west. We did get some limb damage and some small hail, but the heavy damage was confined to a small area. It certainly was wild though, and after the storms passed there was an aua marine colored sun dog...It was so cool, wish I had my camera but wont get it back until next week

Hi Shore, the heat is back on with upper 80's and higher dew points. thanks for stopping by

Hi, BT,

My gosh, look at that 77 and clear! I'd be cleaning out the garage, too! As it is, I'm sticking inside this afternoon. It's nice enough now, but hot is on the horizon and I have to spend enough time out in it during the week!

Have a wonderful father's day - your remembrance greeting for your own dad pretty much says it all for those of us who have "been without" for some years.

About 9 last night a cell went through just north of here and we got alot of lightening from it. Not much rain though. Just alot of lightening. Fortunately by then the computer was turned off and it was not close enough to us to warrant turning off the TV. Poor little Molly took off at the first crack of lightening and I did not see her till much later that evening. Poor wee kitty.

Anyway have a great day. Hope it dries out for you.

Good afternoon Art...just be grateful its not a jellyfish week. Soon hot weather will be coming and you will probably end up busier than a one armed man at a burlesque review...LOL

Doing the lazy thing today, just don't feel up to doing much all around here although it has turned out to be a good day. Overcast but fortunately all the rain has went north of me or further south.

Just about nap time for me, you know us old folks, gotta have our afternoon naps...LOL

Have a wonderful wknd dear one. Enjoy your off time.
