Good Luck to all that find their way in the path of any storm that might affects their area, hopefully there will be none. I could post stuff that others already have, but i decided to just write how I feel. Anomolies are rising in the EPAC which is looking to set up an El Nino pattern. While it means a lesser amount of tropical cyclones, it only takes one to change Millions of lives.
I saw some graphics that I will look up and post, but im pretty sure Gloria (85) and Belle (78) that affected Southern New England were born in an El Nino cycle. Couple that with the fact that we are well overdue (see graphic at bottom), and I come to the conclusion there is at least a 30% chance of a New England Storm. I would never wishcast but I wish the local media would do a better job of informing the public of the dangers, and preparedness. Millions of people have relocated to the northeast, and beachfront construction has exploded leaving tens of thousands of people at risk. A lot of these people Have absolutely no idea of how to prepare themselves for a hurricane, and probably dont even realize hurricanes can and do affect this region.
In closing, i am wishing those that are most vulnerable a safe season. And all remains calm.
God Bless,
Art

I'M Adding a new addition to my blog. "Song of the night". It will not be mainstream music. It will be songs by various artists that you may not have heard before. Some of it will be covers of songs that you already know. Hope you enjoy the tunes, I will pick one song per night. Who knows, you may find a new band to enjoy.

Hi everyone. It was a beautiful day here on the shores of Connecticut. A nice breeze complemented temperatures that reached into the 70's. An occasional puffy cloud would pass through. Driving through the highways and byways signs of spring were abound. Flowers blooming, trees budding, birds of many species flying about.
People out working in their gardens or just cleaning up their yards after a long winter. Girls walking about in shorts and tee shirts added to the beauty after a long winter of being dressed like Nannook from the North.
It's something that people from the north appriciate with a passion. Something special about the change from Winter to Spring. Six months of everything brown, everything dead, no colors abound, and when the change occurs it is something to behold.

Just thought I would write a little essay of how spring is welcomed up in the northern U.S.

Hi Art, it's beautiful weather here. I'm falling in love with CA all over again. (ARGHHH) I shouldn't but I am. Well, maybe I'll end up falling in love with Florida and I'll move there, but right now CA is pulling on my heart.

Hope you have a good evening.

Hi everyone, Another day of low clouds, fog and light rain. We had a line of minor thunderstorms move through about an hour ago.
After 8 days with no sun, it will finally emerge tomorrow.
And a sidenote, with all the unsettled weather and drizzly, light rainy conditions once the sun comes back out we can go right back into Red Flag conditions...Just a weird spring to say the least

Brooke Thanks for stopping by. Hopefully, I avoid it.

KEH yeah, they diden't travel anywhere. The CDC is starting to back off on the closing of schools, and other restrictions. There was no strategy in place for this. Sadly, one person in Texas died from the flu, But other flus kill a lot more people

Hi Art, heard about Dom Deluise this morning on the news. His brand of humor will be missed. The old guys did not have to use profanity to be funny, not like todays' artists. He left a powerful legacy in his sons. He will be missed.

SICKO DE MAYO.
2 more confirmed cases, this time at Fairfield-U campus. WTNH story

The local radio station is having a sicko de mayo party. All kinds of wacky ideas. A pinata filled with body meds. shots of tequilla in plastic syringes. I'll take a pass on that.
I hope they get a grip on it soon. Who feels like being sick in the spring.

Good afternoon Art...hope all is going well for you today. A little rain is ok as long as it does not flood or bring severe storms with it.

Sun is shining here and its almost 70F. Can't complain too much...

Thought I'd drop by after posting more jokes on my Frozencanuck blog...now its time to get back to work...LOL

Have a great Sunday dear ones.

hi Alley, no heavy rains, just a pesky sort of rain. But it will last through the week. Maybe a few rounds of heavier rain during the week
hope your weather is nice, I know you have been in a rainy pattern,

Hi BT- Enjoy the rain you have. Be thankful you aren't in SW FL. Still no rain here and we're now about 4" behind for the year and somewhere over 30" behind from the last 3 years. We need rain, no severe weather or hurricanes just soaking rain.

Have a great day and I agree with your header. We need to go back to those days.

The flower photo is nice. Anytime in May the sugar plum trees in my back yard should bloom with tons of white flowers.

Hi Gams, thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed the pics.
It's something to watch everything that seems dead come to life within a weeks time.
I'm trying to get a good bird collection, I find it challenging getting different birds. Plus, getting a good, clear photo is tough as they fly around so much..LOL they wont stay in one spot too long

Hi Art, I'll do a bit of hiking over the sand dunes, but no fishing. The nearest lake is Lake Lopez and it's not good for fishing.

We will have a great time!!! I can't wait to just get out and have fun.

From the Raleigh AFD

Little change required to near term forecast. Main question still
revolves around the coverage/magnitude of convection this
afternoon/early tonight. 12z gso soundings revealed precipitation water
values near 1.33 inches and middle level lapse rates near or below 6
degree c/km. Wind profile weaker than Friday and instability marginal
(and weaker than friday). Weak upper level disturbance crossing
region at 14z triggering the isolated showers across the area. This
feature expected to be east of the forecast area by early
afternoon...placing our region in a window of weak subsidence which
should keep convective development to a minimum

I guess they saw the potential yesterday.
I think today won't be too stormy IMO, but I believe tomorrow should be a better chance, at least that's what they're saying right now...

Matt, It's definately unsettled in the eastern US. The Carolinas need the rain badly. Especially NW South Carolina, Western N,C.
True... and now FL is getting worse too; they have been stuck under that pesky high for so long, which has been sending the storm systems up and around the state entirely!

Tomorrow looks like a few good slugs of rain WILL move through
Ahh yes, I saw that rain on your radar. I'm staying close to the radar today, because we're under a slight risk of severe storms. However, I do have my doubts...
