Lisa's Stepdad is losing his fight with liver disease. He is 53 years old. They have put him on morphine and gave him 2 weeks. he is a really good man, who stepped into their lives and took over. He is an accomplished guitar player who has played several gigs with ric derringer, out in the midwest. they moved to Iowa many years ago, and speak highly of the area.
Prayers please be with him

Winter Storm Watch
Statement as of 5:07 AM EDT on March 15, 2007

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late tonight through
Saturday morning...

The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Winter Storm
Watch... which is in effect from late tonight through Saturday
morning.

Rain will change to a mixture of sleet and snow late
tonight... eventually turning to all snow Friday morning. Only
light snow and sleet accumulations are expected by Friday morning... but
hazardous driving conditions may develop for the early Friday
morning commute as temperatures fall to around freezing. A
moderate to occasionally heavy snow is expected to re-develop
Friday afternoon and continue into Friday night. The snow will
likely mix with sleet Friday evening... and may even turn to all
sleet for a period Friday night. Despite a changeover... the
potential for 6 or more inches of snow and sleet exists... before
accumulating snow ends Saturday morning.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.

Stay tuned to NOAA all hazards weather radio or visit our web
site at weather.Gov/NYC for further details and updates.

Another Arctic blast is on tap for tonight through Weds. Temps will get into the single digits for lows and struggle through the teens for daytime highs.weds. temps should moderate a little, but an alberta clipper will slide south of southern New England bringing a chance for a little snow.
***DONT FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD THIS SATURDAY****

After the 5 inches of rain we recieved friday, we have been without internet, phone, and television . glad to be back on line

Another Arctic front will will swing through the Tri-State area on Monday afternoon, dropping temperateres on Monday night to the single digits inland, and low teens in NYC metro and immediate coastline. By Weds., the mercury will struggle to get to 20 degree's. Other than a chance of a few light snow flurries today, the forecast period through Weds. should remain dry.Need to watch a clipper system that will be sliding off the Mid Atlantic on Weds. that could bring with it a few inches of snow if it tracks a little further north

A storm currently located just off the Pacific Northwest Coast will be the next weathermaker here in the Northeast on Thursday night into Friday. All models and dicussions and air flow patterns are showing this to be a heavy rain-maker with only one glitch. If the high pressure system in central Canada sinks southward(which is a possibility)cold air will get locked in place (damming)and we will have a major winter storm on our hands. Stay tuned

An area of low pressure that will be forming off the Delmarva Peninsulsa will deepen as it moves north-northeast.The intensity of the storm in southern New England will depend on how far south and east the low tracks. look for a good 4" if it stays on current predicted track. Also, this event will start as freezing rain and sleet making the Monday morning commute very tricky.
