Some Rain at LAST! Florida Rain!

Finally the afternoon downpours have arrived in Florida. Very ominous looking clouds in Palatka, but you could be dry a mile away.
Plume and Flare
By: biff4ugo, 2:37 PM GMT on June 08, 2011
Smoke fills Palatka skies again today. This is the 3rd day we have smoke from the fire east of Crescent Lake. It would be news if Arizona wasn't so hugely out of control.
I LOVE the fire wunder map that shows which fires are causing the plume over my city.
Huge solar flare blasts across my corona widget today, and someone kindly posted the video that made it to Dr. Masters Blog.
I wish there were more preparations posted on how to prepare for a radiation storm of different levels, how to protect your computer from a magnetic storm, etc. They post the severity and anticipated effects, but not what might help mitigate those impacts.
We have a day or two warning, but don't know if we should move computers to the basement or wrap them in metal or wire, or what. Which side of the earth will face the elevated solar wind when it comes? etc.
When it rains, wear a raincoat, tornadoes, go to the basement, smoke, drive slowly or reroute, but electro magnetic storms...??? Homeland Security, got any ideas?
