Beach and River

Great Holidays!

Wonderful early thanksgiving this year. It was warm and clear and thanks to TS Fay, there was enough water to get the boat out of the boat house.
Mom was surprised to meet her new 20 yo. Grandson, and to learn that made her a great grandmother too. My sister should really tell her who she is bringing to family gatherings and who she has adopted from the Buchanon clan.
She took it all amazingly well as did her husband Ross.
No one was sick and we got along very well. Even saw Maren and Amber on computer camera.
It will be on both sides of freezing the next few nights so plants will have to stay in.

Grey Shaddows

By: biff4ugo, 2:41 PM GMT on November 18, 2008

These are the CRABS! As I walked along the beach in Tailand, I left a grey trail. I couldn't figure out why and was quite puzzled. I walked 30 ft. and looked back and sure enough there was a grey trail, but it wasn't where I had first seen it. It was erased and had turned back to it's reddish tint. I repeated the walk and stop process noting the jagged erasure behind and the grey circle around me. I looked at the sand, and it was just grey sand/shell. Finally I just sat down in the sand and watched the trail become compeletly erased down to a grey circle around me. Sitting still and quiet, I noticed a faint shhhha shhhha sound that came in waves, like a host of streatched slinkeys being shaken.
Finally I saw them, tiny eyes and claws, emerging from innumerable burroughs arund me. It was very alien but not so scary once they all got back to work making their tiny sand bebees.

How excellent someone captured and posted their pictures. Now I have a visual to go with my story.

Yea.

TGFO

It is finally over, My vote counted for the first time in Decades!
It is Veterans Day and I can finally support the troups by electing a leader for them who truely denounces torture, and thus supports their safety abroad. They will have a leader who is not a war mongering, oil barron and instead has a cool, intelligent head and will value their lives and sacrifice before sending them in harms way. They will not be sent out to defend Japanese or Chinese oil interests, but might be used to defend populations from slaughering dictators and defend US from real threats.

I want to thank all the soldiers who have fought for my freedom, the security of my family, and my right to free speech. Your strong force and willingness to follow whoever we elect is worthy of praise. I think the new leader will insure you have more support, better health care, and greater consideration here when you return home.

Thank you, and Blessings be upon you.
