Did you Know? by Steve Austin - 2008/01/04
The US Department of Energy (DOE) "Annual Energy Outlook, 2007" was for crude oil prices to be around $57 per barrel and as you know we closed 2007 at over $95, so needless to say, the DOE was way off the mark on that one.
Being unable to predict oil prices is disappointing, to say the least, when you have 16,000 federal employes to do just that and are funded with $23.4 billion of your taxpayer money .
Oil-Price.net on the other side has given correct predictions time and time again. We are an independent source of intelligence, do not receive federal funding and provide this free service thanks to support from readers like you.
Dont wait for some one do do it for you...do it for yourself.
In 2007 the Toyota Prius got 60/51 MPG. Now in 2008 it only gets 48/45. Its still has the best MPG of all commercial cars in the US but it doesn't make sense. Shouldn't these cars be getting better?
20 years ago I walked around with a walkman tape player that held 10 songs on two sides. Now I have an Ipod that holds that hold over 100,000 songs. Am I wrong or were cars getting around 35 - 40 MPG then?
Why have we made such great strides in some areas but it the important areas were at a stand still?

never seen this before...have you?
Ok guys..here's the deal ,I have been playing with a little home built device that is one of those things that seems to good to be true.(I have built and blown up a few ...lol)
what this is ,is a simple to build little device that is cheap and easy to make that had great possibility of saving us all some money on gas.
the purpose of this blog is to see if this is something that any of you would find interesting and be willing to help with all the research...I dont want to go to all the trouble of posting a bunch of info that no one wants to read or use...any takers out there?I know there is lots of brain power on this site...and this could help your pocket book as well as the environment
Lets face facts. Our Government, the big oil companies, the electric company and a bunch of others will do anything they can to keep us from producing what we consume. They want to keep us in a position where we have to depend on them for the things we need to survive. That way they can charge us what ever they wish for their goods or services and all we can do is pay it and maybe grumble about it a little.
Producing your own Hydrogen is a good place to start breaking this strangle hold these people have on us. Sure it is easy to run down to the local quickie mart and pump gasoline into your tank but it costs you a certain amount of your God given freedom any time you do it, plus the $3+ a gallon you pay.
Gasoline as a motor fuel has out lived it’s usefulness and it’s time to replace it and correct some of the problems it has created. Don’t let these so-called experts try to tell you it can’t be done because it can.
Here is something I want people to start paying close attention to. I think you will see some things starting to develop. The only reason we are not driving Hydrogen powered cars right now is the fact that the big money people that run this country haven’t yet figured out a way to package and sell the Hydrogen fuel to the public in a form that we can’t re-produce at home.
This will require the car to be designed where it will only use the Hydrogen fuel that is packaged and sold by these people. Once they have that figured out then you will start seeing a lot of Hydrogen powered cars on the streets. It is just another way for the American people to be hooked and crooked.
