Snow and strong winds continue in the Northeast
It's still snowing in the Northeast tonight, with the rain-snow line hovering from about Scranton, PA south to Philadelphia, PA and east to Atlantic City, NJ. North of this line the precipitation is snow, and south of the line it's raining. There are some reports of sleet and slushy precipitation around the metro D.C. area, however, temperatures are expected to remain at or above 32 °F, so roads will likely remain clear of the slippery stuff. The heaviest snowfall has been in Connecticut and far southeast New York thus far and it's expected to remain that way through the night. The snow is accumulating in these areas, though further south in Philadelphia and parts of New Jersey it's a bit warmer and the ground is too warm to allow much accumulation. Winter weather advisories remain in effect from New Jersey and Pennsylvania to Maine until early tomorrow morning. Coastal flood warnings will remain in effect along the coasts from North Carolina to Massachusetts through Thursday. High wind warnings are also in effect from New York to Maine. Power outages continue to accumulate as well, mostly due to trees down in the strong wind gusts.
Notable wind gusts include:
76 mph near Cuttyhunk, MA
65 mph in Fairhaven, MA
66 mph in Harwich, MA
62 mph in Vineyard Haven,
60 mph near Dunn Landing, NY
53 mph in Eatons Neck, CT
54 mph near Hither Hills, NY
46 mph in Montauk, NY

Northeast severe weather alerts
Weather Underground has a number of webcams in Connecticut that are recording the snow as it happens. Obviously they're more useful during the daylight hours, but if you click on the images it will take you to the video of the past 24 hours. Lots more webcams to choose from here.
