Summertime means many outdoor activities to most people. Folks don't bother with staying around the house, and watching TV. Programming gurus at the broadcast and cable networks know this, so they rerun shows from earlier in the year, as making new shows when no one is around to watch them doesn't make good business sense!

Although summer brings lots of web traffic here to check out the tropical weather here on WU, most of the folks that peruse this blog are out having a life, unlike some poor schmucks that have to work all summer(ain't naming any names, lol). So, all the cams in this particular blog have been in previous blogs. Besides, I've been too lazy to find new cams, at least this time! :' )

Hello, Sandyflee, welcome! Weather is discussed here, but it's not the emphasis of the blog. I, and the folks that come by here, like to check out cool and interesting stuff that's going on elsewhere in the world!

BTW, those cows are Japanese... :' )

Hopefully, if you return this afternoon, this current blog will be replaced by a new one! Of course, all the old blogs are still in the archive, so you can, if you want to, check out what other places have been shown here!

what an interesting blog. certainly different from the run of the mill weather talk. will have to stop by later to see if the Chinese milk their cows any differently from the American way. :D

Good morning! Things are presently cloudy and muggy, with scattered showers on the radar. Supposed to have a chance of rain a good part of the day, then slowly clearing off! Tomorrow looks to be nice, sunny, and in the mid 80s!

Lots of African antelope on the savannah, and lots of evening shoppers! I'm going to try to punch out a new blog today, so wish me luck!

No flooding near here, jus! Locally, we never got that much rain! Thanks for thinking of us, though!

Sounds like a busy night last night, Sandi.

Could've been an Avon rep you saw on the side of the road, GG! Of course I think some of them(and also from the rival planet Mary Kay) are extraterrestial! :' )

Good Morning, there still be zebras. I think one of the red jacket people got transported to Plano road yesterday. Did they look like super heroes? On my way to work there was a woman with long red hair tied back in a pony tail wearing a shade darker red chinese kung fu pajama top with matching pants and shiney black boots. She was walking with here head down concentrating on some text she was sending from her smart phone.
I was wondering if she was texting something; "Hey! You knuckle heads transported me to Texas."

Cams are all picked! If I can pull it off, it'll be one of my better blogs, I believe!

Moon over Milos!

Bogon, those are Japanese cows; they are naturally very orderly! ;' )

Time to go home! Be back tomorrow!

Now the cows are in! I wonder how they get 'em to line up like that? Hut, two, three, four!

Here's a link to current projects, Briar! From what I gathered, the Leprechan is going to the owner's(Rollin) sister, as a gift.

Don't know what the significance of the red jackets are. Maybe the couple like to be color coordinated? :' )

There's a sign at the Canoe Shop cam:

Is that the camera talking to us? Or the Leprechaun? Or something/someone else?

Can't tell what's being served at the Cafe China, but those enjoying it all have red jackets on. Curious.

Rain's almost here! So far, I have nine cams for the next blog, including the lead cam and blog subject!

Nice sunset in Milos, and someone's cooking on a cart in Yangshou!

This is what the sign says on the canoe cam: "I have enjoyed visiting the canoe shop - but I will soon go home to Rollin's sister - the charming Mary Jean." And the sign is placed to a Leprechan doll. Ok....... :' )

Good morning! Cloudy day at the moment, supposed to get some more rain today! Looks like the low is spinning in western Arkansas, and it's not moving much!

Cams look OK; will concentrate on finding low longitude cams this morning.

Bogon, weatherstickers are a hit and miss proposition when it comes to matching them with cams, as many cams don't have any weather stations nearby. I search WU with the cam's location, then if that doesn't work, I use Google maps to find the nearest large town that might have a weatherstation, and try that one. Sometimes WU will assign a weatherstation for a location. With Milos, sometimes it's Santorini, sometimes it's Naxos, today it's Panos. Why? I have no clue. With Soggy Dollar, it's back to Beef Island at the moment.

You're right, WTS! The fox capture isn't approved, but I was able to use it, anyway. WU assigns a URL to the photo immediately, since you upload it to their server, The kicker is WU assumes that if they don't approve it, you'll remove the pic. I didn't , and the last time I checked, the fox capture is still there!

Hi, oz! Glitchy 3 has been behaving so far, but with a 12 year old computer, who knows? Glad you got to see some zebras!

Sandi, you don't need to wait for approval before grabbing the image location for linking (unless you want ;)
Not sure what happens if it doesn't get approved, but it saves time.

There's thunder rumbling outside my window tonight, Ylee. Doggone rain is going to make the grass grow.

Thought I would stop by to see the places that are usually dark during my local daytime. I've lurked by several times since you put up the summer reruns. I still haven't seen the cows get milked. I may have caught a glimpse of someone building a canoe, but mostly the boats seem to magically appear before the camera.

For some reason my favorite is the Soggy Dollar. It's not that I find myself thinking, "Wish I was there." I have been there. It was a magical place to visit, but it's hardly a practical way of life. Maybe not even for the bartender.

The Soggy Dollar is dark tonight. White Bay is only one time zone ahead of me. I got confused the first time I saw the webcam, because WU associated the scene with Beef Island, the site of the the local airport. Tonight they're saying St. Croix, which is even more misleading. I guess WU can't find any weather stations on Jost Van Dyke.

Good morning! Once again, i was moved to my regular gig, so no sharing for me! ;' ) A threat of rain later, with highs in the low 80s. Might get rain off and on for the next couple of days!

Cams all look good; a nice pretty blue canoe, Kilamanjaro at sunset, a soggy vendor at Yangshou, and sunshine everywhere else! There has been a coulple of seasonal favorites return, so expect a new blog before the week is out!

Sandi, I saw that cloud formation yesterday morning; it looks similar to the one's mentuioned at Skye's blog last week! Good catch!

Hi, bug! With work and all, I haven't been out at dusk to know if skeeters are bad or not! I have a pile of wood ready for a weenie roast, but the timing hasn't been right yet! :(

Wab, we were completely shut out of rain the other night; I even had to water my hanging baskets yesterday!

Morning, Ylee.

Cams are all pretty quiet except for Cafe China and the Soggy Dollar.

I see you're fairly cool at 68F, at the moment. We're already up to 81F but the humidity isn't too bad. Yet.

Skeeter count is low, though I did get gnawed up a couple of evenings ago. It must have a been a band of delinquents out for a rumble.

The tropics are quiet, thank heavens.

Kilamanjaro can be seen peeking through the clouds, six squirrels, and a sheep in heavy fog! Sunny in Milos, and a woman taking pictures at Soggy Dollar!

GG, as long as the words the spell checker are trying to make you spell are correct, it can be a useful tool! Mine isn't enabled!

I see a few dozen hoofed critters on the Kanzi cam, Sandi!

Time to go home! Be back tomorrow, on OT(shared computer), on days!

Good Morning, rather busy at the cams. Some of the cows are laying down at the job in the milking barn. Cafe China is bustling. The little red squiggles under mis-spelled words is making me realize just how bad my spelling was before these introduced.

Storms missed us completely; that's OK, we didn't really need any extra rain. Cams are pretty quiet, just a band of rain crossing the savannah.

Hi, Sandi! Popped in right after you posted, and saw the sheep, which are gone now! Cloud formation has developed more in the Kanzi cam, looks like it's going to pour somewhere!

Good to see you, Pros! I know it has to be frustrating living with dry eyes! You haven't missed much, as I'm still working on chapter 4! Hope your eyes get better soon!

Hello Ylee, I hope all is well with you.

You probably have written additional chapters to your story, I apologize for being unable to sit in front of the computer and read it. I have not been able to visit Shore's wordpress blog either, nor BriarCraft's. I feel badly but I must help my eyes! I still have not read a book in several weeks! The doc did not say anything about book reading but I cannot see the small print so why bother. I am a little better but the dry eye condition is really playing havoc with my life!

Take care.

Good evening! We had some thunder and rain for the past few hours, but nothing severe here! There's been severe TStorm warnings north of here, and a Tornado warning about 50 miles west, but it's been pretty smooth sailing! Rain's almost all past now.

It's a coon horde! Eight are munching on corn now, which is a record for coons, best as I can remember. Tahit's still stuck, and will not make it through the night. :P May have to get some fill-in cans(or not, lol).
