First, I want to thank all of you again who took the time to go through all the cams, and pick your favorites! It wasn't easy for me, and I doubt it was a walk in the park for you, either! :' )

Now, for some geek numbers! :' )

Number of voters: 19. Not as good as last year's 20, but not bad!

Different cams voted on: 57. Almost half of the cams that were on the blog this year were voted on to be on the top ten! Makes me feel pretty good, as you liked most of my choices!

Cams voted on multiple times: 33.

Most votes: PenguinKam2 had 14 votes out of the 19 cast, with Kanzi having 13. Very popular, as you will see below! :' )

Cams your blog owner picked for the top ten: Just three, lol! The other voters obviously have better taste than I do, lol!

Voter who picked the most in the top ten: wab, with eight!

OK, here we go! Oh, and since the cams up to #20 were in the neighborhood, I listed them, too!

#20: With 12 points, Cafe China(west)!

#19: With 13 points, Soggy Dollar!

#18: With 16 points, Castaway!

#17: With 17 points, Cafe China(east)!

#16: With 18 points, Lunna House!

#13(tie): With 19 points, Positano!

#13(tie): With 19 points, and one first place vote, Mille Lacs!

#13(tie): With 19 points, and one first place vote, Castleton!

#12: With 20 points, Outer Harbour!

Sandi, during a regular blog, there should be a minimum of three cams working, since three cams are always in your time zone, give or take a couple of hours! Everybody has something to see, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!

As I said the other day...you are 'The Cam-Master' :-)
Good morning...we have ice today, only the fifth or sixth time this winter!

Good evening! Not a bad night so far, temps are relatively mild at 38F! Supposed to be a nice day at 41 tomorrow, before another arctic front passes through Tuesday!

Lot of dark cams at the moment! The new blog will fix that, when I get it up, perhaps tomorrow night!

GG, Snake, I bet in years' past, you would be up at that time, and say you were up waaaay too late, lol!

Hi, Pros! The donkey cam is a good cam, and it's very popular, which is why it's on this particular blog! All the top 20 cams should make at least one return appearance during the coming year!

Bug, not so much of a day off, as I had to come in early today! Gotta pay the bills!

Hi, ho, Ylee. Hope you have a good day off.

Cams are all pretty quiet at the moment. Even the Canal cam is activity-less. The penguins are doing a good job as windbreaks for their chicks.

I really like that donkey cam. Yesterday there were more than a dozen donkeys standing in a circle! Today there is a pretty crowded scene as well. The penguin camera is pretty clear today and I warmed up to the penguins!

Oh yes, I came by to say hello.

If you remove Milos and The Savannah. I'll have nothing to see with my morning coffee... it's not very interesting looking at black boxes! The poor penguins still have their backs to us. It must be a very strong wind chill, they have all turned to protect the little chicks, using their bodies... good parents!

All the penguins are staring in the same direction! Elvis? :' )

Only need to find two Oceania/Asia cams, and the next blog will be picked out!

Hi, Ylee.

You are cold.

We are 40F/4C at the moment. We have more overnight lows around freezing or below on tap for the coming week, at least. My potted plants are inside for the duration.

I think I'm ready for Spring.

I shared the penguin cams with a girl at work who just LOVES penguins. She's been having a lot of fun checking them out.

You're exactly right, ycd! Even the best cams, if shown all the time, get stale after awhile. I think this year even Milos and the feeder cam may not be sacred to the blog!(If only for just one blog; can't have an uprising, lol)

Mornin Ylee:
EUKOR's "Morning Charlotte" passing through Panama.
It's hard to believe bigger ships than this are being built and the canal to accommodate them is under construction though funding is a bit "over budget" just now.
Much as we love the old favourites it was cams new to me that hooked me in the first place. We do need to see the penguin chicks develop, of course.

Good morning! Cold, cold, cold! 15F, with a windchill of 4F! Should make it to freezing today, near 40 tomorrow, then back below freezing for most of next week!

Cams look fine; Milos is blustery today! I'll probably have a new blog up by Tuesday morning. My goal is to have all the cams except Milos, feeder, and Penguin2, be cams that weren't on the blog at all last year!

Hi, Briar! Japan seems to be extra snowy this year, as the Hidanosato St. and Suganuma cams suggest!

Pros, to me, critter cams are OK and all, but I'm a scenery cam guy, and if I wasn't actively looking for penguin chicks, I wouldn't have paid much attention to them!

That's odd, Rob! Both those cams come from the same compound, so you'd think all the chicks would be the same size!

Slope Compression Warmimg, WTS? Spoken like a true weather geek! :' ) I could use some SCW, myself, but I need to have a slope nearby, first!

Ylee, no, your temps are not What's Up :P But last evening, hmmm.. We have had a large stationary high here and temps in general are up, but yesterday around 9:30PM the temp went from around 65 to 74 in about 10 minutes! One of the bogeymen of our Santa Ana's is down slope compression warming.

Don't look for penguins. Look for little gray fuzzy balls huddled up between the big penguin's feet.

Helps if you can zoom in.

Hi. I love the monkey cam, love the snow and the monkeys. The people are a nice touch now and then but the monkeys are my focus.

Your guests talk about Penguin chicks and I just do not see them, I guess I have to look harder. For some reason I have not been able to warm up to the penguins. Funny because I thoroughly enjoyed the Penguin documentary/movie that came out a few years ago. And I have liked the live ones that I have seen. Yet, the cam has not got my attention yet. Somebody hit me on the side of my head! Maybe then I will wake up and smell the penguins.

Finally! Now that GG and Ylee posted screen captures, I'm able to see chicks on the live cam, as well. Just like I never managed to see any snow monkeys until someone "primed the pump" by posting a screen shot of them. Speaking of which, there's quite a bit of snow around the monkeys' hot tub, and a lot of steam rising from the warm water.

Great selection and great vote tabulation, too! It's nice to learn the Top 20, rather than just the Top 10. I only picked two in the Top 10, but I see four more in the second 10.

I know you're always on the look-out for new and different cams, but any time you get involved in your writing, you could put up any combination of the Top 20 and we'll will be happy.
