Luray, Virginia is where the headquarters of Shenandoah National Park is located. Back in the 1930s, when lands for the park were being aquired, the mountain people were bought out, some of them being given lands and homes outside of Luray. It is said that some of them moved back into the park, as they were more partial to the old way of life!
Now, as then, Luray has been connected to, and owes its lifeblood to, the Shenandoah. Hiking, camping, and fishing have brought people here for well over a hundred years!
Now, the Campbell family, which has a goat farm there, has recently expanded their operations to include tours and weddings held at their facilities! Of course, they have to show off their grounds with a fine webcam!
