I live and work in metropolitan Lewisport, KY. I like webcams, through which I can see the whole world!

I am glad the election is over, though no matter who became President the next few months are going to be tough! That darn fiscal cliff they are all talking about.
We had our lp gas filled today. Another sign of winter! Suppose to go to 32* tonight. BBrrrr.
baking our fruitcakes now. Had to have something smell good after yesterday.
stay warm..
I will be interested in the Hakai Cam once it brightens up. Here is a link to an article a while ago mentioning archeology research in the area:

Love the Bernardo O'Higgins "PinguinKam" Cam.
Have a great day. Sure glad the election in the US is over.
got this in an email yesterday and posted it on my blog. With you putting up a penguin cam, it's rather appropos.
ISN'T SCIENCE FASCINATING?
I never knew this!
Did you ever wonder why you never see dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica ?
Where do they go?
Well, wonder no more.
It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life. If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into, and buried. The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:
"Freeze a jolly good fellow, freeze a jolly good fellow, freeze a jolly good fel-looooow, which nobody can deny!"
You really didn't believe that I knew anything about penguins, did you?
Oh quit whining I fell for it, too.....
(As Flip Wilson's character, Geraldine, used to say, "The Devil made me do it!" LOL)
Love it Bug.....coworkers did too!!
Toro toro, I see there is some prime steaks on the hoof this morning at the feeder cam. Glad TroyLeslie does not mind feeding the cattle who seem to be frequenting the feeder more than the wildlife these days.
Cool morning but should warm up nicely to around 50 today with a 60 in the forecast as the weekend comes. Going to be a nice day for me tomorrow as well. Glad it will remain on a warming trend for a while now. We sure need it.
Have a great day Ylee. Take care.
Glad ya'll enjoyed the penguin story! lol
It does help break up the monotony at work.
Lee .. calling for some snow up here on Monday .. have heard varying amounts up to 2 inches ..

Also curious about the O'Higgins cam. Looks like the penguins are sheltering in the lee of man made structures. I guess "Base" would be a hint, eh?
What are todays sayings? I have no idea. Seems like with so many TV channels etc we can't collectively all find the same things to laugh at.
So anyone know what the favorite things are to say these days. Signed, Geezer
I said something to a coworker a while back about it being 'one of those days' and wishing I had a bottle in my desk drawer like Lou Grant. She laughed, said she wished she had one, too, but then said, "You know, most of our coworkers wouldn't have a clue as to what you were referring to."
This computer can't go to glitch mode, so I can't tell if the cams are working or not; the WU cams are OK, though!
I think the penguin cam is a hit, by looking at your responses! :)
Cal, Shore, GG, Pros, janet, YCD, Alley, Sandi, bug, Reno, Todd, wab, and Trauma(whew!), thank you so much for dropping by and leaving a note!
That's a big bull!
Who cares what they are saying nowadays?
signed, another geezer....
Working overtime again? Think of it as an extra boost for Christmas funds:-)
Look after yourself - don't work too hard!
No penguins, and no critter at the feeding cam either.
I hear a cat fight startig so I'd better go check it out. Old kitty is usually not happy with new kitty and new kitty does not understand. He thinks all the hits are playing since he can not hear the growls that go with them :/
tkae care...
The penguins are out and about doing penguiny things. Always a day brightner.
I'd appreciate it if anyone can tell me how the new Nassob cam is working on their blog; it's not showing up on the blog, although I can load it on the browser!
All I get on the Nassob cam is a stop sign.
Thanks for the recommendation for the small computer you left on my blog. Looks like what we want, alright.
Price is right too.
I hope the tablet works for you; I like spending time on the internet looking at the latest electronic doodads(can't afford most of them, lol). They sure have come a long way in a short time!
Also penguins on the snow, but no African cam, never has been for me.
I can right-click on the African cam pic, copy/paste the URL on the browser header, and it will work, but it won't work here on WU. I'll have to find a replacement!
(common response in RSA)
The small computers are improving so fast I can't imagine how anybody can make a profit building them.
20 minutes after you lay down the money you see twice the capability for half the cost. I might even find the lost iPod after I buy something.
Recycled the Knysna cam; it's not the savannah, but it's still Africa! :)
I can't afford those new electronic toys either, but sure would like a few ..
Hi, wab! Did you see about a year or so ago when all the big cruise ships left the harbor? There must have been hundreds on the bank!
A $50K shopping spree at Best Buy would be a good start for me... :)
This have been fairly quiet otherwise on here. Not much to report as far as anything new on the cams. Love the penguin cam. Cute little stinkers.
Anyway, have a great evening dear one. Stay safe and keep well.
Lots and lots of penguins on the penguin cam.
Do you see the one in the middle, singing "I Gotta Be Me..."? LOL
There's a couple of deer at the feeder cam. Doe and an older fawn.
I can't see what you posted in *32, though! :(
Bug, there must not be much hunting around there, or there wouldn't be any deer there! Gun season started here this weekend; plenty of booms in the distance!
Time to go home! Happy Veteran's Day to all out there, especially the ones I didn't get to on the blogs!
Somewhere in Alaska the pups are in training for sled work....
And there appears to be some work going on alongside the harbour in Adelaide. There are red work barriers in place.
And lots and lots of penguins!
No didn't see that .. must have been a nice parade !
See your temp is still in the 60's .. we have dropped done to 33 degrees up here ..
Oh by the way Love your cams !
Have a good one & take care...
I used a platic shovel to clean the Queen's car. I can't remember getting that much snow in one dump before.
Luckily the Queen was off yesterday and again today. I'm sure her workplace still has to clear the parking lot.
Enjoy your day.
Cams are working today; looks like the penguins are being blasted by snow! The Agordino valley is covered in fog and mist! A lot of cams are still dark at this time!
Hi, Alley! I can guarantee those pups have access to the highest quality food that money can buy! Noyhing but high octane exhaust from those guys!(and girls!) :)
Hi, Sandi! Glad you like the cam in the Maldives, but it's no substitue for the pelicam! A little over two weeks, and Milos is supposed to be back online! Can't wait!
Good morning, wab! Ah, the temperature in the 60's; I remember like it was yesterday! ;-) It's around 40 here now!
And thanks for the compliment!
Good morning, janet! I'm old school too, using only a charcoal grill! However, I don't let the winter slow me down much; I've grilled steaks and hamburgers in subfrezzing temps before! The only thing that'll stop me is rain!
The chicken sounds good!
Be careful with the plastic shovel, Tony! You may still scratch the paint on the Queen's car, and she might put a knot on your head! :) I'm glad she didn't have to get out in that mess, though!
It's one of the dangers of blogging while eating lunch.
The season has started here in Sept, I think, and the deer are on the move. Sadly, I saw at least 4 hit by cars on the way home from Dad's last weekend.
'Course there is Siam Reap to compete for confusing.
Hopefully I can check in now and then but I'm out from the home terminal this afternoon.
Evening Gang!!
