I live and work in metropolitan Lewisport, KY. I like webcams, through which I can see the whole world!

It is actually "wishy washy" ... Definition.
1. Thin and watery, as tea or soup; insipid
2. Lacking in strength of character or purpose; ineffective
Glad I made you laugh - laughter is the best medicine!
I like the "turkey on a wire" cartoon, Alley! Funny!
Sandi, I believe Charlie Brown was often called wishy-washy!
Only one more cam to find; I'll do that tomorrow night when I get back! Everybody have a nice day tomorrow!
Enjoyed the funnies!!
Sandi....I so much enjoy the British Humor!! Top Gear, Monty Python, Dr. Who, Faulty Towers....I love em all!!
I believe it was our General Patton that said that the Americans and British are similar peoples separated by a common language
Trauma - looking at that list Alley posted, we certainly seem to speak a different language! lol
For instance, chips to you are crisps to us.... And chips to us are fries to you. I mean, can you imagine going into a seaside restaurant and asking for a bag of fish and fries? Just doesn't sound right!! lol
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Do you have to work, or are you lucky like Ylee, and get the day off?
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!!
I work twelve hours tonight and will be off thanksgiving day. Like Ylee, I am taking advantage of available overtime.
Top Gear keeps me laughing....first time I heard the toilet referred to as a bog!!
I sure have a great memory. After trying to work the appointment around the doctor's schedule, he dosen't work mornings and the Queens who works afternoons I had the wrong day written down. The appointment isn't until Friday.
Enjoy your day.
Thanksgiving Pictures - Quotes - Photobucket
For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
WU approvers, as 'not site appropriate' just because it had a "rooty tooty point and shooty" in it !!! Lol
And although I have it in Flickr, you wouldn't be able to see it - so never mind, I wish you and your family a very happy day, anyway :-)
He has a BIG one....
Although Ylee won't be able to see just HOW big!! Lol
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone - especially to U. S. citizens.
Be careful if you are driving about your beautiful country - you might just run in to another tourist like me poking at his GPS on the freeway.
Though Sandi says I'm 'almost English' because I know how to translate terms for different things, I was rather confused over some of the words/terms on Alley's list. Wishie-washies? Slappy ham? Those sounded too off the wall to be right. Not unless it's some kind of new slang I haven't run across.
The one thing that threw me for the longest time was 'jumper.' I kept reading about various characters in different books donning 'hand made jumpers." Some described as ratty, others as unbecoming colours, etc. They never seemed to be nice whatevertheyweres, for some reason.
I simply could not picture what in the world they were. Our jumpers are sleeveless, neckless dresses that you wear turtlenecks or blouses underneath. A handknitted dress? Ewwww......
Finally, in one book, the context and wording allowed enlightenment: a sweater. Whether pullover or cardigan, I'm not sure but it was a sweater.
Hopefully I can get the blog done tonight! I should have 3-4 hours of downtime at the end of the shift; what is critical is that the WU servers behave!
Reno, Trauma, Sandi, Alley, Tony, Pros, Tomball, janet, ycd, bug, and cal, thanks for stopping by and leaving all those cartoons and Thanksgiving well wishes! One question though, Alley, and Sandi: do you two know something about Sean Connery that we don't? ;-)
oh look he has his "rooty tooty point and shooty" too. I remember this movie, one of the worse he ever made...LOL
Happy Thanksgiving Ylee, to you and yours :)
I will NEVER look at James Bond the same!!
Only 4 hours to go!!
Happy Thanksgiving to All :-)
Gotta get this new blog done quick! :))
