My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From ev'ry mountainside
Let freedom ring!

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California to the New York Island
From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and me.
As I went walking that ribbon of highway
I saw above me that endless skyway
I saw below me that golden valley
This land was made for you and me.
I roamed and I rambled and I followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
While all around me a voice was sounding
This land was made for you and me.
When the sun came shining, and I was strolling
And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling
A voice was chanting, As the fog was lifting,
This land was made for you and me.
This land is your land, this land is my land
From California to the New York Island
From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and me.

There are many natural wonders in the big blue planet, but the ones I'm mosy partial to are in these United States! Why? Every cam in this blog is on government property, which makes it yours(If you're a U.S. citizen) and mine! Many shed blood and even their lives so we can enjoy these wonders; people have also conspired to use these wonders for their own personal gain, but for the most part, the will of the People ruled out, and today we enjoy the beauty and solitude of our parks and other wild areas.

Hi Ylee,
You should be still there, just an hour to go. Glad to hear the temperatures are a little lower. We are really enjoying exceptionally cool temperatures!! lol

Nope, I'm still here! :P A few people had to go do some training, so yours truly has to cover!

Thanks, Alley, if I ever get home!

Sandi, maybe you knit yourself some insulated knickers! :)

I think I have six cams lined out so far, and a possible theme; maybe I'll get it done when I return tonight!

Good morning Ylee or good evening for you.
The well water is really hard. if you wash the car with it it leaves little white spots on the car. That's what makes the spots on the web cam window when I water the Queen's flower garden.
The ciy water is better but is still a bit hard as it comes from the Assiniboine River and not a lake. Winnipeg about 45 mils est of us draws it's qwater from Shoal Lake which is located in the Canadian shield and surrounded by granite. The people who designed the aquduct there sure planned ahead. It was built in the early 1900's and still has the capacity to serve the city which has almost tripled in size since it was built.
Enjoy your evening at work.

Our well water had dissolved calcium carbonate(I think), that corroded everything and would precipitate out if you boiled it, making it unfit for cooking. We were glad to get municipal water!

Good lord Ylee. Going home at noon is a long time on a shift. Its almost as bad as being a doc who has to pull long shifts when working the ER. Rest dear friend, rest. Your body needs it now.

I'm back! Alley, my wife cooked me a big meal, now all I want to do is take a nap, lol! Things should be slow tonight, so maybe I can get a couple of catnaps in, as well as get the new blog up!

Really nice day here today; it was a bit humid, but the temps stayed in the mid 80s!

Good evening Ylee. Back again I see, might as well tell work to set up an apartment there for ya since you spend most of your time there...LOL

Was just looking at the critter cams, Momma dog is now out of the pen and the little guys are on their own. At last peek, they were snoozing on their shelter. 6 deer at the feeder cam at the moment, there is now a SUV and trailer at the Icelandic site. Must be visiters. Saw Opa walking up from the waters edge yesterday on the path and have seen him mowing the grass there. Every thing else seems to quiet on those cams. Yesterday there were quite a few at the Lake's edge in the other cam and as usual Milos is gorgeous. Llamas are doing well but I wonder about their shelters when its so hot. I doubt these animals are use to the kind of heat where they originate from.

Well I guess its time to check out my books for something to read. Finished the one I had been reading last night before bedtime.

Have a safe and quiet evening. Hope you do get to catch a few power naps after the long shift you finished today.

Hi, Rob! Ya think? :) 1-2 16 hour shifts, I can handle, it's when work gets in one of those modes when everyone calls off, and I have to work 4-5 16s in a row, is when it gets rough! Last year was worse than this year, IMO.

Trauma, talk about opposites! I wouldn't know what to do if I had six days off! But I could figure something out! :)

Thanks for the update, Alley! I figured it was getting close to the time the pups were weaned! That cam will be back on the new blog, and'll stay there until they shut it down in the fall!

This is a new schedule for me....work three, off one or two....work three...then off six to eight! Now that I am getting used to it and with the incredible week this has been here....I am certainly looking foreward to NOT being here for a few days!! Fortunately for me, my father, brother, girlfriend, and daughter have a long list of "favors" they need from me on my days off lol!!

The cams make popping in for a quickie, a bit cumbersome, but, they are very cool, our Friend.

Greetings, folks. :)

Hi, PSL! You mean cumbersome as in taking a long time to load? I try to keep my total cam size under 1MB, but I haven't checked this batch! I'll have to keep an eye on that!

I keep trying to improve the blog; I've added weatherstickers to the cams, since last you posted here! I like them, and I think most folks like them, too!

I have to go disappear for a while, and find the last few cams for the new blog! Have a good night!

Good Morning,
I'm on a new shift. After whining kicking fighting the boss is letting me split it up so during the transition I don't have to work seven 12 hour shifts in a row.

The new hours starting next week are Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wed. The hours are good atleast but I will really miss working with the team player on the other shift.

I have surfaced from the murky waters of webcamdom! :) Alas, no new blog, at least not this morning! I made a course correction in mid blog, and decided to use my original theme in a later blog! Perhaps tonight, I'll be able to finish it! I promise you won't be disappointed! :)

Thanks, PSL! I do this for you guys as much as for me!

One more hour to go, Trauma! Enjoy your time off!

I slept five hours before earing the big meal, Sandi! That's as well as I could do under the circumstances!

GG, I had you synced with gamma; how am I ever going to know when you work? :) I'm sure I'll figure it out; hope your new coworker is as good as your old one!

If GG's alternate Wednesday's coincide with Gammas, they will never be on the computer at the same time! They will be like the Austrian barometer clock - as one goes in the other comes out! As one goes to work the other will be finishing, and vice versa!

Mind you, your work shift is so "higgledy-piggledy" I never know when you are in or out! lol

Good Morning YLee.
I may have found the problem without pulling the well up.
After checking the web for the symtoms I have with the well it may that the presure tank has become waterlogged. It's been 3 or 4 years since I let all of the preasure out. Yesteday I drained it completely. I'll try today and see if my well is back in working condition. Being over 30 yesrs old the cladder may have deveolped a small leak.
Enjoy your evening at work.

Morning, Ylee ~ When you get here tonight, there will be a link for a new webcam. I hope you can see it, but at least it's a good place to tuck it - a Kitty Cam! Yep, that would be a mama cat and seven kittens. They're really a hoot to watch. They just had breakfast, and there was a good bit of pushing and shoving. Mom wasn't too happy at a couple of points and let them know!

Good evening! I'm just going to get to business, and get the new blog up!

Sandi, my hours makes sense to me, lol!

Tony, Good luck on the tank; does yours have a bladder in it? Those will get a hole in them and make your pressure go down.

Shore, simply put, as said by my internet filter:

Internet Radio/TV / Internet Radio/TV / Internet Radio/TV not allowed.

Bah!

As you can obviously tell, there's no new blog greeting you this morning! Although I'm disappointed that it didn't get done this morning, I've laid the ground work for it, and have the new cams picked out, now I just have to get them in the blog and post it! :)

Good morning Ylee. Not to worry if the cams are not up yet. We know work comes first...LOL

Off to buy groceries shortly so I can be back before it gets too hot out. Oh what a day it will be. Fun fun fun....

Lots going on the critter cam this morning. Milos is gorgeous, but there looks to be a camp meeting going on by the lake in the Refugi cam. I see the SUV is back on the Icelandic cam and the llamas are enjoying breakfast. Pups are walking around their pen, I guess waiting for breakfast too. All else is calm.

Take care and have a nice day.

Last!
Well, I will be if you get a new blog up soon ;)
I don't think I've commented on this entry and wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed your tour of U.S. cams. Maybe except that particular view of DC, lovely as it is, since it reminds me of a plane crash that I, apparently, have not yet gotten over. Not that I was directly involved, just that it had a strong affect on me.
Anyway, can't wait to see what you come up with, next!

Good evening! Time to put this blog in the archives! :)

Hi, Alley! Thanks for the update! I did have a busy stretch last night in the last two hours that prevented me from finishing it! Barring any major happenings, I should have it up by the time you feed Smudgie and the kittens!

sp, you're the first "last" I've ever seen, lol! Sorry the D.C. cam bothered you; maybe it was just as well I can't post the Earthcam view of New York Harbor! :(

If I ever get the new one up, I'll come bug ya! :)

Good morning Ylee...another rough night dear one. I got to sleep in an extra hour this morning, Miss Smudgie was not amused...LOL She was hungry and it sure did not take her long to make it to that feeding dish. Poor babies but that is what happens when its almost 2:AM before one gets to sleep.

Anyway have a great day, get some rest, a new blog can wait...stay cool. Its going to be another HOT one today.
