Last year, the Sled Dog Puppy cam at Denali made its debut with little fanfare, and it was only by accident that I found the cam in the first place!

This year, it's different! The Denali NP website has backgrounds of the pup's parents, plus Twitter feeds and a utube video of the newborn pups! There's even two sets of names for the pups! No sneaking up this year!

This week's blog is one of riches, for it also marks the debut of the Yosemite Falls cam! WunderYakuza found it, and stuck it on the WU cam directory for me to use and you to see! Awesome cam!

Oh yeah, and there's seven others, too, including the return of Glacier's Goat Haunt cam!

Evening Ylee: We often stop by to see what is happening on the cams whether we say Hello or not.
I'm also looking forward to you're next selection of cams -nothing wrong with the current ones - it's just great to see what you put up here.

Hi Ylee...just watched Nik Wallenda cross Niagara Falls on a tightrope. Was glad he made it across safe but there were a few times where the heavy mist was disconcerning in the "zone" where the wire dipped at its lowest. Was fun to watch him make history....a night crossing is not easy.

Anyway looks like a new blog will be going up so looking forward to see what goodies you have for us.

BTW have a wonderful trip away with the family. It's about time you got to enjoy some "get away" time with your wife and kids. Stay safe and have fun.

I have all the cams picked out for the new blog, but I don't have time tonight to finish it. Tomorrow night will see the new blog; I think you will be pleased!

I see you are up with the doughnut makers, Pros! No guarantees on exactly the time, but ideally it would be noon, CDT(1PM Eastern), so I can check out the archived image when I get home!At worst I hop to be around the sandbar at either the top of the hour, :15, :30, or :45 minutes, when the image updates. I hope this works out, as I've never seen a canoeist going down the river!

The ultimate would be someone capturing an image of us at the sandbar, and posting it here! That would rock! :)

Now get some sleep! :)

Sandi, I don't have to row; that's what my son is for, lol!

Ylee, how exciting, you are taking a few days off to have some fun! I sure hope I get to see you as you wave to the cam. Maybe you could give us a little warning when you will be waving at us! Have fun at the cave, and enjoy whatever else you will be doing. As they say, I wish I were there....

Good morning! Tonight I've done a procedural 180 and visited the blogs first before coming here! I missed out on several due to the busy nature at work yesterday, and I didn't want a repeat tonight!

After posting this, for the most part I'll be spending the rest of the night searching for cams for the new blog. There are a couple of directions I could go with this, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

I have to have the new blog done by Saturday morning, as the family and I are taking a trip to the Mammoth Cave area, and I won't be back here until Thursday! What's exciting is that either Monday or Tuesday(probably Monday) we'll be canoeing down the Green River, and according to the maps, we should be passing through where the NPS air quality cam shows the river! If I'm right, and if we time it just right, you will be able to see us! They update the pic every 15 minutes, so it's up to you all to capture us in the cam and post it here! No Photobucket of Flickr, please! It has to be uploaded to WU, or have gov or mil in the image URL!

I hope I'm right about this! I don't want to look like a doofus, lol! I'll be waving to the cam, or in the general direction of it, anyway! :)

Hi, Rob, perchance you are Grothar's little brother? :)

Hi, Alley! I imagine those squirrels will be good eatin' for someone or something come fall, lol!

Tampa, I'm sure you have a nice dog, if only I could see it! Dachsund? :)

ycd, puppies in the sun is what this blog's all about! :)

Thanks for the cookie, BF! A few more calories never hurt, I always say! :)

I tell you Ylee...by the time summer is over, those squirrels in your feeder cam are going to be so fat they won't be able to climb trees, all they will be able to do is waddle down the path following the fellow home for a warm place to lay about in the winter.....LOL

Good morning Ylee. Just ran through the webcams and all looks pretty quiet at the moment. Guess being this close to the weekend, everyone is just going about doing their usual chores so they can enjoy their time off. I see its party time for the squirrels at the feeder cam. There are 5 at the moment. Puppies are awake now and out and about. Fat little stinkers, they sure are cute.

Weather is still nice here, lots of sunshine, nice breeze and no rain in our forecast. Looks like the heat returns next week so the old AC will get a workout again. Oh well.

Anyway, have a great day. Try not to work too hard.

Briar, this is one of those rare days when the planets align and everything is running well, so you gotta make hay while the sun shines, you know? :)

I'll try to go over to Rob's and tell him happy birthday, IF I get a chance, Snake! Wait, I just did that here, but that don't count! :)

Having to work at work? Dreadful. Horrendous. What is this world coming to? Remember: work smarter, not harder. That way, you'll have more time to play.

Sun's just coming up in New Zealand now. And the world goes round and round...

Good grief! Lookit all the photographers and videographers in the kennel! Poor dogs are the most viewed canines since Lassie! Sandi needs some of those purple shoelaces one of the women is wearing, lol!

Work has been nonstop today, putting me behind schedule on the blogs, and in scouting cams. I shall endeavour to make up for lost time! :)

Cal, come to think of it, we would have been off to the West Sunday if we were still on the Grand Tour; in a couple of days, we would have been in the middle of Colorado, where the fires are! :(

Janet, it sems the puppies are celebrities now, and everyone wants to hold them! Who can blame them? :)

SP, I like cams set in the country too; nothing says "peaceful" better to me!

Earlier today I saw Sultana doing the Snoopy thing on the doghouse, with a couple of pups attached! If that doesn't say Motherhood, I don't know what does! :) On the side of the doghouse is a ramp that the pups can climb up; that's how they can get up there!

The tractors are used for loading and unloading boats in the surf!

Sandi, see above for the explanation of little "Snoopy", lol!

I have seen chickens on the Dugglenet cam a couple times, now, and there are black-face sheep there right now! I also saw a group of what I suppose were crows (or ravens) on the path there one day. I really like that cam, especially when the sun is shining.
One day I saw momma dog relaxing on the top of her house - no doubt taking a break from the kids while they are still too small to follow her up there!
The most interesting thing I've seen in NZ was a blue tractor on the beach. It seemed to be hauling something out of the water but who knows what.

Thanks for your "good news" LOL It's better than nothing!
Your temp and radar both look good - so that's good news, too :)

Good morning! Hit the ground running this morning, but I have a momentary lull in work, so I'd better get this post in! :) Nice cool 57 when I came in to work this morning, although it's supposed to pop up to the mid 80s by this afternoon! If only it was like this all summer, lol!

Cams are still OK, Sultana and the pups are out early today! The dog in the next pen is Cache, a pup from last year.

An excerpt from the sled dog blog:

"Anyone following the puppy cam this summer will recognize Cache as the sweet dog in the pen next to Sultana and her pups. Cache is a wonderful auntie who loves to play gently with the little pups through the fence. Soon we will have the new pups socializing with the older dogs in the yard and you can bet that Cache will be one of the first that they get to meet and play with."

Hi, Janet! Always good to have another "lee" on here! :) I agree, about 10PM CDT is the "sweet spot" when the most cams are available! Glad you could stop by and write a note!

Nice captures, Sandi! Cute guys, aren't they?

Good morning, Alley! Makes sense about the white boats; I'm not a seafarer, so I didn't think about that!

Nice catch, GG! Are you already back from your trip?

Good morning Ylee. Looks like all is well at the OK Corral this morning. Just about ready to head back to bed for a few more zzzzzz's but first I will finish my coffee and take my metformin.

Kitties are fed and watered so they are good to go until this evening. Hard to believe Hump day is here already. Where the heck is the week going?

Hope you have a good day and that everything remains calm at work. Weatherwise, I wish you sunshine, a bit cooler temps and nice breezes.

BTW...boats are usually painted white for a reason. That is if they get in trouble on the water, they are easier to spot from the air, but why not paint them bright orange. Would that not work better....LOL

Captured the black faces - so once it is uploaded to WU I will bring the photo here:)

LATER -

And would you believe there's a sheep at the front of the cam now!"

I don't have an opinion about colors but One Marine architect said: "There are two colors to paint a boat:
White or Blue - only a Damn Fool would paint a boat Blue!"
I'm more interested in the hull design. The Bulgarian small boats remind me of the pangas in Mexico:

Hi, ycd! Is it the color of the boats that are different, or is it the shape of the hull or whatnot? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to boats! :)

Hi, Sandi! Sheep are nearer the house now, but it's so dark I can't see anything but white! :)

Good morning! Good to be back here on the blogs; work, not so much, lol! Finally in the pocess of settling down for a few minutes before hitting it hard again!

Weather was cloudy here yesterday, with only a couple of showers. Today it's still kinda muggy, but the high is only supposed to get in the mid 80s under cloudy skies.

Cams are OK. Will put up a new blog before my work week is through!

Reno, can't see the cartoon, but odds are it fits my situation here, lol!

Hi, sandi! The sheep must've been closer to the cam, since all I've ever seen are small white blobs! :)

HI, Alley! List of things to do got a dent put in it yesterday; got some rest, too! :)

Briar, I've seen that graphic, too. It must be something the cam iowner does as a transition between day and night.

What kind of critters, Shore? Wolves? ;-)

Yeah, Tony, that'll work! :)

Pros, those sled dogs are pretty social, so it's just natural for then to check out the "neighbors"! :)

Hi, Mark! Good to see you haven't been washed out into the GOM! :)

Dugglenet cam is back to looking normal, pastoral, but a little while ago, this is what it was showing. Honest!

I live and work in metropolitan Lewisport, KY. I like webcams, through which I can see the whole world!
