The N.O.A.A. forecast was for light scattered showers all day. I guess your weather depended on location, location, location. We had no rain here, but there were plenty of thunderheads around. So, while we did not have any rain you might have. I would like to hear about that. This report is late, but at least it is being published. I have been hearing from some of you as to my condition. I am fine, but I have been busy. I am trying to get things together again. Right now I am 3 reports behind, not including this one. For tonght (08/10/2009) the N.W.S. forecasts more scattered showers for the entire period. There do not appear to be any storms on the NEXRAD regional composite radar, but they can bubble up at any time. The prediction on the Weather Underground model forecast map indicates a chance for showers overnight with a better chance tomorrow. It does appear that our rain filled summer will continue unabated. . My Weather Stick is down as a result of the 78% relative humidity and 73.9°F temperature when I checked it. http://ulocal.wmtw.com/_My-Weather-Stick-62F-and-94-Relative-Humidity/photo/4850281/62923.html Two of my digital instruments call for foul weather with falling barometric pressure. My remote weather station, which now has its sensor out of the coop with the meat chickens calls for fair weather with steady barometric pressure. It seems that it will remain humid overnight. That earns them Kudos from me. Forecast data for the overnight. Temperature: 73°F/67°F/64°F/62°F Relative Humidity: 81%/90%/93%/100%

Finally some Summer. This may not be the Summer we wanted, but it is the summer we have. We now can finally expect some hazy, hot and humid weather for the next couple of days. According to the N.O.A.A. today will provide us with some sunshine this morning with a chance for light scattered showers for the afternoon. I am now trying to get my twice daily reports started. Of course I will be away for the end of the week into the middle of next week at the Grand Encamp...

While extreme heat is affecting much of the country, we here in the Northern part of New England are suffering with one of the coolest and wettest early summers we have ever had. In June of 2008 we had a little more than 4.5" of rain, while this year we have had over 10.29". I suspect that may be a record. So far this month we have had 0.95" of rain, and the temperatures have not reached 80°F. That may change in the next few days, if the sun comes out. The N.O...

I finally gave up at about 01:00 hours. I could not maintain connection with the satellite due to the rain, which the N.O.A.A. had predicted. This has been an ongoing problem as a result of the signal disruption due to the weather between my satellite dish and the Wildblue Satellite. I wonder if Hughesnet is any better. In inclement weather this has become the norm rather than the exception to the rule. For the overnight the N.W.S. has predicted rain all night ...

For the overnight the N.O.A.A. forecast rain. Gee, we ended the month of June with rain, and had a total of 10.29" by the end of it. Now overnight we have had a little more with 0.08" before noon today. During the overnight we had 0.02". Since my last report (I have my recorded data) on the 18th of June my internet connection via the Wildblue Satellite has been spotty at best. The clouds and rain certainly seem to interrupt the signal. I have seen my internet ...

I was a Chemist. I am now a farmer, and as such am intensely interested in the weather. After all weather affects everything I do now. |
