TomArgh's erratic ramblings...

Well, it's been a funny old year.

My last blog entry feels as if it was months ago, I was complaining about spending too much time on the train and now it's blinkin' Christmas!

Where did the year go? I swear it's only May.

Okay, I'll try not to moan about the amount of time I've spent on the train and will barely mention yesterday's journey from Leeds to Derby which was spent standing for the duration and extremely late. So much so that my connection was well and truly missed, the taxis were all gone and I had to wait for a much later train. Mind you, my pal who stayed on had to stand until Birmingham.

But enough of the trains already!

It's been getting parky here of late, this is the view from my kitchen window a few nights ago when the marina froze over completely. Okay, for those North Americans out there it wasn't the kind of stuff you chaps get but we don't often get a layer of ice quite so big.
Icy evening

I had a lovely evening out in Leeds, you know, the night before the train journey that I won't mention.

Here's a view along the Aire from the Centenary bridge in the wharf area that's undergoing a heck of a regeneration. Mind you, it looks nice.

And today is the twenty first!! Woo hoo!! I'll just go over that again; the twenty first!! Wooo, Hooo!

The days are getting longer (as of tomorrow) and summer is on its way. All being well I'll be able to stop doing those long exposure sodium coloured pictures.

Hey, just one more then for now. This was taken recently at around ten thirty at night, a nice looking barge on the sales jetty.

And here was a glorious sunrise in the Lake District.

Nice to see you all, have a grand Christmas, I'm still going to be missing and generally ellusive I imagine, but pop by and say hello if you'd like.
