First Winter Storm for Northern New England 11-12th of November

By: TheDawnAwakening , 6:04 PM GMT on November 04, 2013

Models are beginning to show a strong to potent upper level disturbance move through the zonal flow over the Northeastern US sometime in the 7-8 day range. Models show disturbance moving across the Great Lakes day 7 and Northeast day 8 with offshore coastal redevelopment occurring. This storm bombs out over the Newfoundland region of Canada. Unfortunately for Southern New England this system is not for us as the freezing line stays locked up over central New England around central NH and VT cutting us off from the below freezing temps a front brings through a day earlier. There is still time for the system to get stronger on the models as sampling in the region of the Pacific its in now is a little poor with the exception of satellite data. Therefore corrections in strength and location could emerge over the next few days.
