Just because the news hasn’t been flooded (pun intended) with creatively named storms and hurricanes does not mean we are “in the clear” by any means. Coastal regions of Florida are always at risk for severe thunderstorms and in worst case scenarios - destructive hurricanes. The peak of what is typically considered "hurricane season" will be here in not time whether we like it or not.
