snow again!

My station has been working smoothly lately. Hooray!

Today we had snow; I woke up and saw it falling. It stopped in late morning. However, my station didn't report any precipitation until 12:24 pm -- long after the snow had stopped. I'm pretty sure that's when the temperature rose to the point where the snow in the rain gauge melted, rather than when the precipitation actually fell.

However, the daily total should be right, since the snow was falling this same morning.

I suppose I could move the rain gauge to the skylight, and shine a heat lamp on it when there's snow or other precipitation when it's freezing, but snow isn't common enough for that to seem like a real problem that demands an immediate technological solution.
