North garden fence was getting old. Buster must have stuck his head through the gate after grass & got caught up in it. He has a small scrape. He needed more reassuring he wasn't in trouble than medical attention.

Quoting guygee:
Doesn't sound too bad...if the pros have a fix then go with that, although nothing beats a clean install.

I am done with Microsoft as of a few weeks ago. I did not think it possible, but a worm actually bricked my hardware; an old laptop I had been using for years. The worm gave full control to an external invader, and at some point a virus was uploaded that flashed my BIOS and activated the Trusted Platform Manager (TPM). The BIOS now shows all zeros for the serial number, and "non-Vista" for the OS, although the OS was supplied OEM with Vista Home Basic. Now, essentially, the computer does not trust any of its drivers, and will not boot from the CD/DVD so I cannot even install Linux. I worked on it for days but every time I thought I was close the computer blue-screened then came back with the message: "No TPM or TPM has problems".

Moral of the story: Go into your BIOS and disable the flash feature if you can, and also make sure that TPM is off.
Wow! That is whole new level of nastiness. Sorry to hear of your misfortune but thanks for the heads up to the rest of us.

Thanks~ It's so hard to search with it that I wanted to save the link. Microsoft fix didn't work right out the gate. I'm in foxfire so it's an add on but it changes frequently & is made to look like something that should be there. Taking notes & cleared some. I tried a malware thing yesterday. I'll get it. When done though, getting Linux on here. It was my plan from the start, laziness bites me:) I will this one too. It's only like 4 days old, caught it the day it was unleashed so the fixes are slim yet.

Last chance for the locals to see a space shuttle fly:
Spaceflight Now | STS-134 Shuttle Report | Endeavour to head westward into retirement Monday
....
The coast-to-coast trek, the final ferryflight for a space shuttle, begins Monday 7:15 a.m. EDT from the three-mile-long runway at the Florida spaceport. Over the next half-hour, the flying duo will head southward over the beaches of Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and Patrick Air Force Base before making a U-turn and traverse up the river to buzz the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and spaceport itself before flying away forever.

Looking at the zero hour model error most the models initialized horribly on 92L. Looking over both direction & intensity I might be inclined to throw my forecast toward the HWRF for the next day or so.

looks like a normal Sunday morning with good flow traffic in Okinawa.

The rattling noises that occur because of the wind gusts is unnerving though.

92L is new & is approaching the Leeward Islands. It's one to watch.

91E is now 12E Lane.

Hades~ Okinawa looks to be holding together. Way better infrastructure with traffic lights still working.

Finn~ Was nice to see it weaken a bit. Also on IR the strongest parts of the eyewall were over water.

Guy I skipped watering today. Had .7 yesterday, none today. I think the clouds got me out of it today.

Hades~ That is getting to be a crazy looking storm..

Good morning Skye,
No rain again Sunday so despite the expense I gave in and drenched my front yard using "city water", needed since both of my wells are above 2 ppt NaCl and will kill plants and trees like young mango and macadamia nut. Naturally I finally get heavy rains yesterday, measured over 2.4" this morning and that was not including spillage on the transfer from the outer to inner gauge column. At least that leached the chloramine out of the soil.

That should hold me for another week or two, depending on future temperature, humidity and wind.

Looking at the big pic Michael seems to be buzzsawing off some of Leslie's outflow to be left behind. It's playing into the formation of an ULL to the west of 91L..if 91L has a hard time wrapping it's tail in like Isaac, that ULL could bring it farther west.
