If you are in an area near projected landfall, please post here. You don't have to give us your real name, but please tell us what your plans are. If you're evacuating, please let us know. If you're staying put, please tell us what kind of preparations you've made.
After Katrina, some of us (including me) were unable to make contact, and I had told no one my plans...a lot of people worried about those of us who were affected and had not checked in.
So let's start a list. If you trust another wunderground member enough to give them your cell phone number, then please do so through private messages, and that person can keep us updated on you.
Please post:
1) general location
2) plans - to evacuate or stay put
3) preparations made, if staying put
4) the nickname of the Wunderblog member with your contact info.
