Certainly can't hurt to try this.....

Try to remember this EVERY TIME you have to talk to a customer service representative and you cannot understand them. I did not know that we could do this, but I sure am going to try it. Help bring jobs back to the U.S.A.

Ask for an American!

Hi Everyone,

I want to share with you some great information that I found out purely by accident. I believe it can also save and create jobs in America while giving people better customer service.

So how many times have you called a companies service phone line and found that the rep. can barely speak English? Once with a major mortgage company it was so bad I demanded to speak with someone who spoke English. Right at that moment I broke the code, the secret password for customer service.

Come to find out that every American company using overseas operators must transfer you to an American rep. by saying.......
" I want to speak to a representative in America ".
(Don't take no for an answer on this)

This was confirmed by the American rep. that they must transfer you after that request. I've tried it on a half a dozen major companies including cable, bank, phone and mortgage companies. It works every time and I actually get my issues taken care of.

Last thing to help save even more jobs.... don't use the automated check out lanes they are pushing at the big box stores. Once again I found out that if we use those check outs rather than cashiers people loose their jobs too.

I've refused to use the automated check outs and have had two cashiers already thank me for help saving their job.

Hi friends (those of you that remember me anyway .. LOL)

I would first like to apologize -- a couple of you have written to make sure I was okay .. and I have not responded, thinking I would come back and write a long email touching base ... and then ... did not .. I am really really sorry! Hopefully in a year (lol) I will be able to do better!

now for the catch up ---
Life is good ... Crazy crazy busy ...

let's sum it up as quick as possible ... LOL

Son had a pretty good year in baseball, scholarship renewed -- 3 years down, 1 to go. He finishes summer school tomorrow and is playing summer ball with a team out of Atlanta on the weekends ...Grades were excellent for spring semester -- he finally got it figured out! :) And.. he will graduate on time. I did not know it .. but many many college athletes do not -- they just can't take the course load necessary with missing so many classes ...(thus, the reason for summer school).

Daughter did well in school, is enjoying her summer ... she's changing from a girl to a young lady - not boy crazy yet (thank you Lord!) :)

Husband's job is going good still -- Key Largo is starting to feel more like "home" .. more on this later ..

Me -- Exhausted but doing what has to be done .. three jobs is a bit much and being a single parent most of the time .. well.. that stinks!! (cleaned up word for the PC rating) ... my big news --- am succeeding on a new weight loss program ... halfway there ... and loving it ..

So ... three jobs and walking two miles a day and exercising and doing on the things hubby used to do (like I can still mow the lawn and trim the bushes) ... is why WU is not on my list of things I can do very often .. :( ..
not too happy about that .. but it is what it is ..

Now for the fun stuff ... the trailer is coming along really well .. it is small and old .. but we have fixed it up pretty nice ... very comfy and homy .. I am set up to work there now... so we are spending like every other weekend in Key Largo. I actually have started to think I could maybe really move here ... :)

So ..I hope everyone is hanging in there and things are getting better or staying good for you all!

(US #1 out of the Keys is closed ...there is a detour around Card Sound Road --- we just got told 1/2 hour ago it would take 4-1/2 to 5 hours (it usually takes about 30-40 minutes) to get to Florida City ... SOOOOOOO .. I took a few to do this blog and am sleeping .. getting up at 2 to attempt to return back to my other "home" ...

The road closure is CRAZY! It is not a year old .. the method the company used broke down and there were cracks in the road -- to they had to close it and are now ripping it up to fix it!!!)Link

First -- sorry for being such a bad blog keeper ! Thanks for stopping by ... We got the trailer this week, so daughter and I head down about 4 in the morning - hoping to miss some of the traffic on highway 41 since the alley is closed (huge fire there .. it's been closed I think maybe since Wed and they are predicting it won't open till Monday ... we are getting the smoke up here too) So .. pics to follow ....I am really really excited!! 	Son's Baseball

As promised, I have uploaded a few of my son's baseball pictures. We went to GA this past weekend, and had a great time! They won the weekend series 2 games to 1, and he pitched pretty well! They are 4th in their conference now, and he is 2-2, with 2 saves. Back to reality and work now .. this old body doesn't recover from road trips like it used too .. LOL .. I am still tired! Hope all is well !
