It's About Victory

First let me speak to my fellow moderates. Last nights victory was not a referendum for Obama, instead it was a referendum against the far right and the religious right. Last nights votes signified that women have rights, that gays and lesbians have rights, that all colors of skin have rights and that Americans will not be bound to a group of elitists and wanna be elitists that allow no other thoughts sans their own. Congratulations to the moderates, hopefully this will enable government flow once again.

Now, to the letter writers who harped on me for being tough on SebastianJer, you and I know why he left and last night was the reason. Boy dished out so much crap, he was rightfully afraid he would have to eat it today. Not that any of the far right will believe that the election shows that the majority of Americans do not hold their views, they've already started with the excuses.

The biggest excuse of the far right to downplay Obama's victory is to place the blame on the main stream media. First, that is such a great play on words as to categorize any organization that reports what they do not want to hear and therefore dismiss what is reported. More importantly though it is arrogance and disrespectful to everyone that did not vote according to their ideals as it states that you and I are not intelligent enough to cipher through the editorializing and make an educated decision on what we deem is important for our country, ourselves and our families. We are not sheeple, we are not ignorant and we will no longer stand idly by while we are insulted by those that are indeed the ignorant ones.

I won last night, but most importantly AMERICA WON!

I'm a maggot? Been called, & have been a lot of monikers in my half century life...however, maggot is a new one Todd. LOL If because of my vote? I'll wear it proudly! I voted for your right to be a redneck car hound as well. ;-) IMHO, it's a great week to be all inclusive American!! I do expect you & others to work hard as I do. No free ride in my house, but for those fellow "Americans" who've fought for us, & fought to get here for a better life for their families? Hell yes, I will offer a hand up as can. Would much rather do so for someone thankful to be on our ground & willing to work for it, than to be spending billions of dollars on foreign lands rebuilding for folks that provoked war on democracy that we went into save. God Bless Our Troops! Even those here who havent had opportunity thus far, I would rather help. I have more issue with giving an extremist one dollar to cause harm to even one of us. Just sayin'. Hoping extremists will soon learn that we can support our Troops wholeheartedly, without supporting those we sent OUR'S in harms way to try give more to those who would still harm them & us given the chance.....rather than support our own. I agree with left & right. It's sad, thinking our priorities have become skewed over party lines, rather than WE AS AMERICANS!
Thank you Vets, from all conflicts this weekend! Far more appreciated, as evidenced from this election than any other. It's not a party favor for left or right, it's our love of Country. God Bless You All!!!!

We are center-left, not right. We are moderate. We are beautifully diverse. We care about all people, all life, and this little earth that we all share. We are many, many, many millions and always growing, always moving forward. We never stop. We have shown the extremist-right the door. Their movement is dead. Their vision...dead. Their power dissipated, gone. As for Jer, Sheppard, and the rest of them... dirt under the wheels of the progressive machine.

Link Mitt Romney – Fiscal AsshatThey thought they were working for a fiscal conservative, but Romney staffers discovered in the wee hours on election night that they were actually working for a fiscal asshat. This would not have come to a shock to those kicked to the curb by Bain Capital, but campaign staffers were Lucy-with-the-footballed.

From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his campaign quickly began to disassemble itself.

Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.

Doh.

Nothing like working yourself into oblivion for your candidate, heading home in defeat, and having to scrounge for pocket change to pay your cab fare.

It tells us (and them) a lot about what their would-have-been boss really thinks of those under him. That trickle down got shut off at the spigot the minute Cinderella’s coach turned back into a pumpkin.

Remember, Norquist said, "All we need is a Candidate with enough digits to hold a pen
and sign what we send him", and Norquist isn't even IN Office!
So with that said, apparently, The WE felt Mitt was the robot they needed,
with enough digits to sign the bills placed in front of him.
And I for one, completely believe that that is exactly what Mitt would have done.
Blindly Sign Anything The WE put in front of him.
(I'm assuming The WE is Norquist, A.L.E.C. along with The Big Banks, and Wall Street,)
Now that they've sent most of the Americn Jobs overseas,
now they were working on sending the cash offshore too. That's why George W. was down in the Caymens playing Keynote Speaker at an Investment 'Party' Just last week.

Jer is typical of his kind. All talk.

Looks like Jer isn't even talking much lately. He went silent, on his blog anyway, about 2 weeks ago. He must have been lonely. I did not see any comments on any of his topics. When you cast those with an opposing opinion, you soon find yourself all alone.

Some1, I don't agree. Most people, when they get into the oval office tend to move a bit more to the center. But, that being said, thankfully, we'll never know.

I wish I was as certain as you. Remember, G. W. Bush never vetoed anything during his firs term. He only vetoed bills concerning social issues during his second term. ... As you said, I am glad we do not have to find out.

You know Tea, I believe that if Romney had one, once in power, he would have moved to a more moderate stance on many issues, and would have annoyed or angered many Tea Partyists, and other far right wingers. Now of course we'll never know, but I believe that would have happened.

Had Romney won, he would have rubber stamped anything the extremist within The House of Representatives sent him so that he would retain their support for a second term attempt.

A note to Mr Romney,

Please go back to what made you a great governor for the state of Massachusetts. America needs more moderate leaders that will work both sides of the aisle for the good of their people.
