It's About Voting

It's been quite a ride to get here to this point. By tomorrow, America will have elected a black man (You know the far right cringes when they read that.) to a second term as commander and chief of the greatest country in the world. Even though we know it won't happen it would be nice to see some far right windbags honor their word and pack their bags and leave this country.

This election cycle has brought about the end of the tea party. Oh they're still there, much smaller in numbers, still blogging and acting self important, however they have been marked for their true colors, racist, chauvinistic, afraid of change and lack of morals while they preach exactly what they lack. They have no power and they have no sway. many politicians and even far right politicians have distanced themselves. We have so easily forgotten the Republican primary debates where the tea party claimed they would pick the candidate. No longer is Palin or Cain daily on our lips or in our thoughts. We have chosen to ignore the threats and support gay and lesbians, women and their rights and government that is for the people and not for the corporations.

Now we move forward together and those that choose to whine and cry can be ignored.

I find this more telling -

"A glimmer of hope remained for some Democratic gains as 11 members of the Tea-Party backed House GOP freshman class of 2010 were trailing in incomplete returns." - Source - We shall see what the final results will be. My hope is that the Republicans can once again gain control of their party.

LT,

I have a feeling we won't know the results of this election in 18 hours. Maybe 18 days. lol

I'm think Wisconsin and Virginia are going to be the legal battleground this cycle - recounts, lawyers, courts, etc.

I really hope not because I really don't believe this country can particularly handle one of these long, drawn out processes due to the divisions which exist currently. It is my hope whoever loses concedes because if this gets to the courts the legitimacy of the election will once again be in doubt, as it was in 2000. That doubt really poisoned the political well and it's something we haven't been able to shake since, as a country.

Sully, I'm with you. If Ohio is close, at least 10 days to count the provisional ballots....
one other note, not sure if it will go to the courts, or to the House?
I'm with LT on this one, we'll see.

Well Tomball, thank you for giving me more credit than is due. WeHaveHadIt is not I nor do I control when and what he posts. So climb down off of that high horse of your, rub a little lotion on that chapped ass of yours and get ready to have it kicked again this evening.

Thanks SNoTT and
Happy RE-ELECTION Day!!!

Tea ~ Why haven't you brought out your other sock puppets yet such as WeHaveHadIt out of the woodwork to spread lies about the side that doesn't share your radical political views. Today is the big day, no?

YO troll-ball
Who you callin SOCK PUPPET???

I am a YELLOW DOG DEMOCRAT and a dues-paying, card-carrying, AFL-CIO member!!!

Are you new around here???
SNoTT is a self-described, "Moderate Republican" whose political party has been co-opted....fortunately, for SNoTT, there is a "Moderate" on the ballot, President-elect Barack Obama.

Let me give you a quarter for the clue bus:
There are no "radicals" in Washington, D.C.!

Starting around 6 P.M. EST or so, the main page and Senate pages will switch to blank maps that will be updated throughout the evening as election results come in. But be aware that very early reports can be confusing. If Austin happens to report first, Texas might be dark blue for a little while. If problems in New York City due to the storm delay reporting until after upstate districts report, New York might be dark red for a while. But it will be interesting to see the colors spread out from east to west as the results come in. Come back tonight.

Also Original, I've taken strong stands on here. I've called the small faction of the far right posters here idiots and worse. I've shown where they were liars, where they were two faced. I've been insulted and even physically threatened. (Right Nash?) So why would I back down on election day. You didn't see me talk trash like the former far right blogger on this site and then run like a dog once he too saw the writing on the wall. We will win, period!

Intrade which has proven more accurate than any poll has been in the last three elections has Obamma as a 72 percent favorite. An by accurate, they have only been wrong in the outcome of two states in three elections. That's amazing

Hi "TEA". Well we will know for sure in about 18hours or so. I feel it's still to close to make such a "blanket" statement, but I hope you are correct.
