Welcome to The Ark

If you need to get away from all the "end of the world" hullabaloo, well, what better place to hide than an Ark?

Hang out, play some music, have a cookie, some eggnog, or maybe some grog. Be ready to celebrate that we're all still here!

The tutorial for the Youtube code generator is now in Post 7 and 8 of The Ark help files. The link to the generator is now in the right column in my links section here.

Please read the tutorial. It's really easy once you know what to and not to do.

Enjoy!

Great movements, eh?
Well good for you!
Enjoy the mountain romp.

Speaking of batteries:

Power has gone off for about 1 second 4 times tonight.
Keeps waking me up. I don't want to keep up, I want to sleep.
It's Saturday morning after all.

Yeah? Well it's time to get up and face the day!
Off we go into the rainforest, where the Lagahoo and the Douens and Papa Bois live.

If I see any of them, I'll give them your greetings.
But they dont like people, much.....

Shep is headed south.
Pottery out to lunch...I mean dinner.
Goofy freezing.
And RTL Prolly took his meds and passed out.

Gonna be a quiet night.
Will check back later.

Yeah.
Great Movements are afoot.

T'was a bum trip to the city, and Anc. Pers. was in no mood to hang out. So we came back.....

Anyway, the Good News is, that we are heading for the mountains early tomorrow, for a long walk in Natures Garden.
Need to recharge the batteries before Sunday when the Students come again for the glazing and firing.
Hot and Intense, all that. Leaves me feeling quite exhausted.

Keep up.

For the Ramblin' Man.
Don't worry about Pottery. The miscreant mistakenly misconstrued the mischievous mission of your missive.

Whistle? I have a whistle, matter of fact its one of
those incredible shriekingly loud Police whistles
that cops direct traffic with that will deafen you for
two days when you hear it. I'll go see if I can find
it. If I'm not back in a few hours you'll know that I
have been misplaced or misunderstood or misalligned or
something. I know its one of those mis words I just
can't pull out of the deep recesses at the moment. :)

Of course first I would have to find where I misplaced
my deep recesses, wait a minute, thats what I was
looking for, no, not the whistle, the mis word, mis
placed you see, the word. Now, where was I? Oh yeah,
now I remember, mistletoe, I was looking for some
mistletoe. OK, be right back.

Heh ???? Is he Rambling again ?
Seems sort of Normal Behaviour these days, does it not?

I'm off to see Ancient Person.
We have to go all the way through the City, from one side to the next, and it's Friday afternoon, ten to four.

Who made this plan, anyway ?
Hopefully, I can get the Planner to agree that after the visit, we can go to a restaurant and have some dinner and wine. To calm my shattered nerves, you understand.

OH Cool!
I really needed something to write a note on and those look just the right size to wrap around my finger so I don't forget.
Thanks Barefoot!

Now I just need to find my tape...

Pottery,
Take care and have a good afternoon.

RTL, Be careful in thunderstorms and heavy traffic for a few days.

Pottery,
Whew...tune didn't stick!

UYeah, well, you have to be able to whistle you know.

heheheheh

actually I'm happy it didn't. I regretted it the minute I thought about what I had done.
Mainly because now, it's going around in my head like a wind-up train on a very small track.

Back to "busy" for a while, then off with Lady Pott to see Ancient Person, who is up and down...

OK Arkers, I have been "Scanned" and "Magnatized".
Gee, I wonder if I can pick up nails now just by
waving my hands over them? I'll try that later and let
you know. :)

Don't get to see the Bone Doc until the 31st. What a
business this guy has, people are lined up to see him
like ducks in a row. If its not an emergency it takes
a month to see him in the first place. Then you are
put in the rotation till your turn rolls around.

Job security, eh?

Sounds like we are all in the wrong business, my Friend.
Good luck with all further Procedures, and remember this...

the lowest bidder is most likely the worst choice.

just sayin'.....

Have a tuneful day.

Yes, go posthaste before the Fritter King makes it any colder!

We had that wind all day yesterday. Cooled down to 40 or so by morning. 43 right now.

One thing for sure, there are no dead leaves or loose moss left in the trees. It may be safe to drive the mower around the yard a time or two to blow the debris out where the critters live. They hate it when I do that. :))
Think I'll wait until I get back in a week or so just to be sure.

OK, I will start working on that for you right away!

Foxxy will not be happy with you though. :)

Gee, I'd like to stay and talk with you about your
above request for snow but I have to get ready to go
to the MRI office. Don't know how much snow you want,
most people like at least a foot of snow, but I will
just order you about half of that for the first snowfall. :)

If you want more than that I'll see what I can do
on the second order for you.

Thanks for the tunes Goofy and Shep.

Sorry to have left you on watch alone last night Goofy. My deck is West facing, to better enjoy the sunsets over the lake, and the wind was howling as the temps dropped. Figured I'd call it an early night.

Deep fried or baked fritters this AM???

Doesn't matter, when you're frittering with the King of Fritter, you're frittering in style.

Ruger is coming out with a new pistol in honor of members of
The United States Senate and the House of Representatives.

It will be named the “Congressman”.

It doesn't work and you can't fire it.

Hope this gets into your head:

When I read your posts it brings into sharp focus just how many holes in my brain have been left unfilled.
I rarely understand what yer talking about.
I'll attempt to have the voids filled in the near future.
Will apple fritters work for that ?

The jumbies can't hear you if your brain is switched off.
Works better than tinfoil.

BuurrrP. Lunch is over.
Unfortunately, I had to switch brain to"on" to operate a table-saw and a planer.
It's not a good idea to do these things without the 'on' switch being fully engaged
The guy with the missing digits will explain.... if you can get him to talk about it.

Oh, and a man in Aust. has dug up a gold nugget as big as a gold mine.
These things never seem to happen to me.
Strange, that.

Holes in the Swiss Rant on
In an effort to boost "the little gray cells," this post is in keeping with the idea that our brains composed of TLGC's have " holes " and education is the means by which these holes are filled. In case you forget you can and will refer to this introduction.

Lake Effect Snow. This is an interesting subject for those of yous camping in a an area with water, fish and beer. With night temps in the 70's or so yous are not likely to be troubled by " LES. " Contemplating the factors that produce such events are well known to most residents of Fla. And that is why they no longer live in places like Buffalo or Cleveland. We can watch the next two weeks around the Great Lakes and see if conditions are ripe and such snows do indeed come about. These storms from the lakes are actually named by the Buffalo NWS. The names are based on animals and this year the name theme is Snakes. End rant.

Greetings, Dungbats.

It's a Glorious Morning, with no sign of anything on any horizon that could possibly upset the equilibrium of a switched-off brain.
I know that a man should never say things like that, for fear of rousing the Jumbies and creating a strong Undertoad in the ebb and flow of Life.

Be that as it may be, and knowing that the above statement is Pure Optimism, I am off to do a thousand things. Having done a hundred already, you understand?

Keep on the good foot.
