Welcome to The Ark

If you need to get away from all the "end of the world" hullabaloo, well, what better place to hide than an Ark?

Hang out, play some music, have a cookie, some eggnog, or maybe some grog. Be ready to celebrate that we're all still here!

The tutorial for the Youtube code generator is now in Post 7 and 8 of The Ark help files. The link to the generator is now in the right column in my links section here.

Please read the tutorial. It's really easy once you know what to and not to do.

Enjoy!

Snake peeks in again, lights firecracker fuze,

tosses it onboard, then runs like hell.

heh heh heh

Naughty, that.

Overcast and blustery today after a bright day yesterday. One bright day doth not a warming do. Or something.

Seems that there are some folks coming over tonight to Celebrate the end of last year.
GOOD THING i BROUGHT MY BOTTLE OF aNGOSTURA sINGLE bARREL rUM. (sorry for caps)

Just came back from the Glass suplier. 8 sheets of various coloured glass panes 16" square. For the dormers of the studio, dont you know?
Fear not, I brought with me pre-cut styro packaging....
Still, carrying that many glass panes in a suitcase is going to challenge the bagage handlers. We shall see.....

It's 1:05. Perfect time for a beer. Then a siesta.

Y'all have a Blast tonight. But behave with Decorum. (lovely word, that. conjures up so many options, heheheheheh)

This ESP thingy is getting scary.

Especially when I see Lord Pottery's avatar pop up on the Community Activity log as I type.

...and good morning to Lord Pottery, ahem...Sir.

Fortunately, old Rangers require long fuses to give them time to vacate the blast zone.

Shep is wakened by the commotion, grabs the firecracker, drops it through Pott's mail slot on his cabin door, (No, I don't know why he is the only one with a mail slot on his cabin door), and then runs like hell to join snake at Dunkin Donuts for fritters and coffee.

Justice or just plain ol' fun???

You pick.
:)))

Good ness me !
Sitting here minding my own beeswax when through the slot comes a smoking package. Well, in the Excitment, I knocked over my ale, which put out the smoking part.

Then I looked upon the thing with some surprise, thinking "why would anyone stuff a smoking whatnot through my slot, just so?" But on closer examination the Truth dawned.

How very Kind and Considerate you guys are.
I have re-lit the smoking part and placed it under Lady Potts chair.

When everything calms down (in a couple of hours, hopefully) I will explain how it all came about.
She will love you even more.....

Wish I had known you needed some.
I've got some of Greg Lenz's glass left over from my old Ecclesiastical window building days.
His foundry was about 5 minutes away from our studio.
Highly sought after by the Lamp Builders.
Solid gold, for sure.

After applying copious quantities of warm water, Hood finally frees his hand of the frozen cannon ball. He makes his way down to the science lab.

"I've been wanting a chance to play with this things since Uppy built it." He wheels the dastardly multi-beam projector over to the nearest porthole, whips out his trusty spyglass and locates his quarry sitting in a donut shop, laughing it up.

Hood sets the dial to microwave and targets the heaping platter of fritters. The machine warms up and fires an invisible pulse just before 'Snake grabs another fritter and hoist it to his mouth. Bubbling hot apple goo oozes out onto his tongue causing him to leap to his feet, screaming all sorts of things that can't be repeated here.

"Now, dance Ranger, DANCE" Hood shouts, laughing maniacally! As he switches the dial to electro-magnetic multi-pulse/ultra short/narrow beam and targets 'Snake's bionic leg. The excited metallic atoms begin to resonate, causing a quite uncomfortable hot sensation in his knee, and he begins to hop about even more.

Shep drives by to drop off a 3D printer for cappymon to protect the bridge to make future use fritter decoys for use in the probable event that Ranger Fritter launches a another siesta time raid.

Better make plenty cappymon. You know how he has to get up close to throw stuff at ya these days.

Then again, if you disguise the bridge as a fritter factory ain't no way he's gonna blow that sucker up.

OK, just got back from the Emergency Room, burned my
tongue this morning at the Donut Shop having Apple
Fritters with Shep. Strangest thing happened, after I
burned my tongue my new bionic left knee over heated.

Must have been some kind of inter-galactic radiation
that affected the Titanium Alloy in my left knee.
Didn't do any damage the Ortho Doc said but he said
he had never seen that kind of reaction before.

Good thing this is the last of this year, I think I
will stay home and out of sight for the rest of the day. :)

Wow, 'Snake...don't know what it could've been!
Interesting that whatever happened seemed to be calibrated in such a way as to inflict no permanent damage.

You don't have to hide...you'd be missed!

(although, if you wake me up with a "bang" again, I'll be sure not to miss...LOL)
Could have been an over-reaction to the kids across the lake that got M80s for Christmas. Tonight sure to be noisy.

Oh...and did I mention the honey ale is quite good, even if a bit hoppy for Angie's taste.

Good gosh! I came to leave New Year's greetings for Rob and the Ark-o-nauts, and what do I get but a trip in the Tardis! Purple hippos and that darned banana - double good gosh.

Well - Happy New Year to you all. I can't guarantee how healthy and prosperous it's going to be, but I'm pretty sure it will be happy - around here, anyhow!

Currier and Ives

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

A new years greeting for SHEP & POTT ET ALL:

A modern story of glass. One son married here, one princess baptized here. Old place of remembrance, nearly wiped by our 8th AF and restored nicely. Lots of stories here.

Very nice Goofy!

Well, I can tell New Years is getting closer to rural
Georgia. Along with the fireworks that started at 9 pm
I have also heard a few 9mm, a 44magnum, a few shotguns
and what sounded like an M-16. No, not a semi-auto,
a full auto. Trust me, I know the difference.

Good news on the home front, SugarBear got her new
laptop up and running, downloaded all of her special

figured out how to get rid of that crazy Win8 front
page and get to desktop, and even got E-mail to work
finally as well as Facebook. She is one happy camper!

One of my faves is fireworks, gave it up last year for getting up at the sparrows fart to go fishing. Right now it's blowing a gale about 25 gusting, forcast was for calm tonight and 5 to 10 tommorrow. If I had a dime for everytime this lot got the forcast right, I wouldn't even have two pennies to rub together.
