Welcome to The Ark

If you need to get away from all the "end of the world" hullabaloo, well, what better place to hide than an Ark?

Hang out, play some music, have a cookie, some eggnog, or maybe some grog. Be ready to celebrate that we're all still here!

The tutorial for the Youtube code generator is now in Post 7 and 8 of The Ark help files. The link to the generator is now in the right column in my links section here.

Please read the tutorial. It's really easy once you know what to and not to do.

Enjoy!

Hey YCD!
I always heard that your island was supposed to be the "warm" part of Canada. Please package any excessive snow and express it to RTLSNK. He gets all mopey-like when he doesn't get his white Christmas.

Me, I kinda like spending the holidays sitting in the shade sipping umbrella drinks.

Think it's about time to bring the cat in.

Didn't get much rain and no thunder. Glad. Still way too wet around here. Was able to stay on the deck through most of the passing without getting too wet. Talk about a quick change!
Strong SW all morning turned to NW in a flash. Still windy, but nothing like before. Sun bright in the west so enjoying a little sunset. Big temp shift as well. 15 degrees in 15 minutes!

Yep :) the sun's out over here on the Corridor also.
Breezy, cool with a few high cirrus clouds trying to figure out where home is.:)

BTW...my daughter told me to "shut up and get used to it" with Win8.
Is that even "legal" in Fla now???

Looking at the Sat photos, seem to have stopped raining at your house.

You can go home now!

Indeed !
Spoke to the troops there yesterday.
They say it's been Incessant. But they hope to do some Beaching today.

Heading out to the shops again today here. Did my bit for the British economy yesterday. Everything is 50% off, so instead of 1 pair of shoes, I bought 2 pairs. That way, I can wear a different style on each foot. Cool, eh ?

Today I need another pair (like Imelda, I am )but this time they are for walking up mountains, down rivers, and through swampy bogs.

I see that the weather in places there is Dread. Heading toward Snakeymon ?
Well, if I recall, he asked for it. Something about freezing the worms to death, I think.

Okay.
RTLSNK. Ever been to Israel? Snow not often an issue there. Yes, it does occasionally snow in the higher elevations, including Bethlehem, but from what I can tell on average it snows about 3 days a year in Bethlehem. Why am I telling you this?

So you can stop wishing for a white Christmas! You see, snow probably has nothing to do with Christmas!

All you are accomplishing with all this wishing is making my toes cold! Stop...please!

LOL

And yes, Ylee is correct...I think.

Happy Shopping Pottery!

I'm as fine as can be expected. The onehanded typing on a full sized keyboaard couldn't even keep up with the half-a-brain thought process. Took 3 days to get the new anti-cat, small keyboard wotking, the joys of being a semi-literate computer user. Same brain, same typos. Have yet to master the new coffeemaker. Season's Greeting y'all!

So I have to admit that I've been gone so long I didn't realize the ark was back. Use to be a favorite place to hang out!

Thanks for the music, and hope everyone has had a good holiday! Hopefully this year I will be around more, and get to share with old friends.

Good Morning!
(barely)

Well, this is the day of the big family Christmas party.
Brother, Sister, respective spouses, and a whole herd of younglings will converge shortly.

Figured I oughta say hello while I have a chance. Once all the assorted Nooks, Iphones, Ipads, laptops, and gaming devices log on, I might not have any bandwidth left for myself. Likely a bunch of new devices will be lining up begging for the network name and key. How did we ever survive without constant updates from our friends?

Anyhow, sure to be a good time and lots of good eats. Hope you all have a happy Friday!

True, that.
But we had a most Sucessful shopping trip this morning.
A knapsack for son, new treckers for Lady Pott, and a Particularly fine pair for me, too.

They are all shiny and new. But give them a few weeks back home in the mud, mire ,manure and muck and they'll be fine ! They have no idea wot's coming at them, poor things.

The young fellow in the shop, when he learned that we walk in water, suggested waterproof models.
He couldn't quite grasp the concept of "water" until I explained to him that 'water' meant 'up-to-the-neck', and that a waterproof shoe meant that you could never get rid of it.

Anyway, all's well. Except that Baby Kate woke at about 2 am and proceeded to have a proper oldtime Howl. And after that I found it difficult to return to sleep. Probably because I could'nt find any apple fritters.......

Done, with some Trepidation. The cheek
in question (both of them), being covered in yogurt, banana, and several other dinner-time things that are unidentifiable to me at this time.....

It's 5;30PM, which is her dinnertime, dont you know.

Had a good time w/the kids.
One niece just back from teaching in Costa Rica. All she had to play down there was an electronic keyboard. Couldn't wait to get her hands on the Yamaha Grand. Plays like an angel.

Wish you guys could've heard it.

Hi Arkers!

SugarBear has been using my laptop since last night when her laptop gave up its processor or something. Went to BestBuy today and bought her a new Toshiba with a 17.5 inch screen. She said it has a terrabyte.

Is that sort of like an overbyte? heh heh heh

Good Morning !
Damp and windy, around 50F, so no really cold days as yet.
Maybe we'll get home before the next Artic Blast.

Today we head back to london Town. But first Lady Pott has to complete the painting of a small chair she bought for Kate.
It now has her name in Irie colours, surrounded by tropical flowers and 2 little birdies.

I have to hang a heavy thing on a wall.....

But first, some breakfast is in order.
It's 10:21, dont you know.

Yeah, strange how the list follows us about.
I need one of those 'list eradication devices' that I heard about one time.
But I gather that it means I will have to employ 42 people for 24 years, or something. And burn all the pens and paper in the house.

Pretty drastic stuff.
