Welcome to The Ark

If you need to get away from all the "end of the world" hullabaloo, well, what better place to hide than an Ark?

Hang out, play some music, have a cookie, some eggnog, or maybe some grog. Be ready to celebrate that we're all still here!

The tutorial for the Youtube code generator is now in Post 7 and 8 of The Ark help files. The link to the generator is now in the right column in my links section here.

Please read the tutorial. It's really easy once you know what to and not to do.

Enjoy!

Was going to mention rain headed your way but no lighting. Was up with the baby, but should have known you would be on top of it. Bacon and pancakes good to go.

Yes, I do know its 0420 something in the wee hours.
The Racoon Gang was on the back porch again.
I'm going to have to rig up a hot wire back there.
If they are going to misbehave, they are going to pay.
Will have to shut it off before SugarBear goes out
every morning to check on her gardens. :)

Back to bed.

Hey Pottery,
70ish at the moment, sun beginning it's drop.
Probably 50-52 tonight then 76 tomorrow.
Lovely day. Been sitting on the deck watching the latest version of 3 Musketeers. Pretty fun actually.

Sounds like it's colder there than it is here!
The weatherperson got it wrong again.
Overcast, occasional sunshine, low 50's.

Ah. So, you suspect "wordsmithery" in my accounting of the morning's events???

OK. So there weren't any burnt trees and he wasn't wearing a Do Rag with a cherry blossom on top. But, everything else is exactly as it happened.
:)))

It's all Pottery's fault.

Not today, it wasn't !
I had to navigate through the city of london to Srevenage.
This after I was forced to imbibe, over-imbibe, pig-out, glutenize and generally eat, drink and be merry all day long having driven from B'mouth to London to start with.

Good thing Daughter Nan can drive Properly. As Instructed, you understand, by Me.

Anyway, here we are, getting ready to do some more Whatnot and Stuff.

I'm sure going to need a Vacation soon.........

Well good afternoon!

Puffins, puppies, music, cool stuff!
Thanks for helping to decorate the place!

The good wishes are much appreciated and reciprocated!

Not really that much into football anymore, but can relate to the over abundance of leaves. Angie spent the better part of a day getting the accumulation of leaves out of the carport, etc, then we had a couple days of high winds and it was time to get the blower out again.

Temp was 43 at 6:15 this morning. Several degrees cooler up on the hill, away from the lake. That's cold enough for me. RTL wants snow...well, okay, just as long as it stays in GA.

What's up, Rob?

Like Hubby, I guess you and most of the Arkers have football on the agenda this afternoon.

Mine Other Half has been outside this a.m., dealing with the detrius of the high winds and rain earlier this week. Last weekend, he had it all raked and bagged and the yard looking good. Unfortunately, there were still some leaves up there and a ton of those dratted gum balls.

Morning Arkers!

Merry Christmas to everyone.

27*F in Macon this morning, could hit 25 before the Sun comes up.

Still hoping for Snow on Christmas Day.

Hi RobDa,
79 on Christmas sounds pretty cush-y. Enjoy. I liked living in the tropics but the Oklahoma climate suits me better. :)

Love that tune, "You and Tequila..."

Hi, theshepherd,
Pretty sure I been in that coca field... in another lifetime. :)

And some music for all who visit the hallowed Ark.

OK, 240 Austrian Nut Cookies in 3 large cookie tins, check.

Well, there may not be 240 of them now, some of them
disappeared between the big bowl of powdered sugar,
and the cookie tins. :)

Strange how that happens every year. heh heh heh

Hey...either way, it got the Tin Man outta my head!

Okay,
Replace leaky fuel injector....check!
Replace pressure regulator, just for good measure....check!

I'm done for the day. Angie can move all the furniture she wants...I'm done.

(well...at least that's what I say.)

I wonder does he mean the two in combination, or is it either or?

We're not fooled.

You just opened that utube to see the blonde in the granny panties.

Odd, that.

Oh yeah...what I came her for.
No idea why, it's one of those things that just happens sometimes, but I woke up with this in my head. Best way to get rid of a song stuck on repeat is to listen to it then drop it off here for someone else.

Greetings all and sundry!
I'm glad to see that we are in agreement that it's all Pottery's fault. This is a good thing seeing as he is across the big pond and he can't throw rocks as far as he used to. Also, all that jumbie magic stuff doesn't work in the old world.

Barefoot,
Thank you! Love Christmas trains!
Hope you have a really great Christmas and New Years!

Pottery,
Sounds excellent. As I recall, a new inductee of third platoon has no duties other than to go where pointed, smile a lot, and occasionally break out in spontaneous song. Enjoy!

RTLSNK,
As I understand it, the way they deal with grandfathers is to keep shoveling pints at them until they become sedate and pliable.

Shep,
Yes...Quite!
Carry on Sir!

Rob was right, this is the work of a true "Wordsmith".

The punchline "ROLL OVER" was a classic all by itself,
but the line I bolded put the finishing touch on it. :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Uh?
You have to think like an old Indian whose uncle owned a coca field south of town.
Red Dog spent way too many summers there during summer vacations while in Word Knowing School.

The dark vase is the night.
The jewels are our dreams where we can be anything we want.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
:)))

Merry Christmas.

The weather report from Macon this morning is 30*F.
Clear skies and no snow yet. 55*F in the garage.
Might be time to plug in the new man cave heater.

Weather forecast is calling for Thunderstorms Christmas Day.

Bah Humbug I say, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW.

And a Blessed Christmas to you also my friend
and to your family as well. It sounds like Grandfathers
are honored and respected there which is as it should be!

Be well, stay safe, have great fun, bundle up,
and hug the little Princess for us. :)

Righty-ho, then, wot ?

Breakfast having been consumed, vaccuum-cleaners were engaged and garbage thrown out -including a fair quantity of empty bottles- and a Plan of the Day agreed upon.

It seems that I am in Platoon 3, which means I get to go to the cinema to see the Pi movie while wearing glasses that turn fiction into reality.

The weather has turned wet, blustery and grey.
Hopefully, there will not be enough rain to cause the trains to misbehave tomorrow, as we return to London town for yet another party, which will no doubt result in more empty bottles.

From thence we proceed north to Stevenage with Princess Kate, to open pressies on Christmas morning.

Whew!

My Instruction to you all is to Behave in the Manner to which I am accustomed. Or something.

And also, have a Brilliant Christmas.
Stay strong, happy, blissed.

:):))

Yeah, wot he said.
Made me realise that some people have the uncanny ability to be Brilliant, irregardless, in spite of, and stuff.

Had a party here at daughter's house last night.
12 children, 9 mothers, and me.
I was entirely responsible for the Refreshment Counter.
I dont know 'bout them but today I have a headache...

Gotta go.
Ham, eggs, sausages, toast etc is coming.>>>>>>>...

No worries, mate.

We will be fine.
:)

Sorry for my tardiness on such an auspicious day.
I've been busy backfilling the crater in the back yard and removing the burnt trees.

At daylight this morning I heard a commotion out back.

A large crack appeared in the yard and fire spewed out.

Shortly thereafter, accompanied by the sounds of conch shells, a tall and shadowy figure ascended to the surface attired with a jaguar skin trimmed in blue feathers and shiny jewels and a red dew rag with a cherry blossom on top.

He held high above his head an old round stone tablet.

With a thick tongue he spoke the following:

"Yyya, ayyie."

I am Three Dog, August Scribe, Knower of Picture Words, and Time Keeper.

Our day begins when the great Sun God rises from the Dark Vase of Jewels like a flower to begin another.

Two Thousand years ago the August Forescribes carved two thousands notches that circumscribed this wonderful Show of Time and affirmed the proper symbols of the Heavens.

However, for the benefit of the less fortunate nonknowers of picture words, I must correct you.

The long swooping arc trailing below the Telling of the Heavens is not a large boat to ferry you to safe purchase, yet it is simply our picture word for ROLL OVER"

He didn't bother to say goodbye or offer to stay and help clean up the mess. Hell, he could have just emailed me.

So, alrighty then.
