Welcome to The Ark

If you need to get away from all the "end of the world" hullabaloo, well, what better place to hide than an Ark?

Hang out, play some music, have a cookie, some eggnog, or maybe some grog. Be ready to celebrate that we're all still here!

The tutorial for the Youtube code generator is now in Post 7 and 8 of The Ark help files. The link to the generator is now in the right column in my links section here.

Please read the tutorial. It's really easy once you know what to and not to do.

Enjoy!

Hmmmm... curiouser and curiouser!
Would have thought Ranger Rick would have chimed in by now.
Perhaps he has his hands full!

Yeah, I'm beginning to worry.
So I am going to have dinner........

that always stops me worrying.

We haven't crossed that bridge here yet...but it's not my turn.

Hi Arkers! Sorry, didn't mean to cause anyone any
worry today. We are fine here, had no trouble at all
getting rid of Pottery's jumbies this morning early.
Well, I did have to spray the little Douen with some
Holy Water to get him to come out from under the house.
Poor thing looked like he hadn't slept all night. Of
course looking at Igor all night with his sharp teeth
and drooling jowls probably didn't help him any. :)
Had Igor escort the three of them to a ship in Savannah
that was headed to Trinny before the sun came up so
they should be back at Potterys by Tuesday.

Had a busy day around here with Church and Family
activities so I'm just now finished for the day and
checking in.

Dinner is about ready so fear not, I shall be back
a little later tonight.

Shep and crew = 4

Wahoo = 0

What a blast for first day on the water.
Never, have I landed 4 wahoo within 2 hours.

If they'll leave us alone in the morning, we'll try to snag a few sails tomorrow.

I'm whupped.
G'nite mates.

Holy cow it's 33 in RTL's neck of the woods and 45 at KPNS. Could it be that the HALO forgot to tell KOG to kill the fans while he was in some warm place? Could it be so cold that the fan controls are frozen? It can't be a good sign that ice hockey resumed when he left. It's 29 here. Finally drained the hose and shut off the spigot since it looks like we could see 10-15 F here in the next two weeks. But that's same forecast that has RTL at 39 and the BEACH at 55. Well this requires some serious thought best done under the covers.

Good luck tomorrow.
Those pesky Wahoo!
LOL

Yep, RTL!
Just checked.
It's still here.

Snake tiptoes in early, better be quiet, its a Holiday,
did anyone tell Pottery? I'll bet you an Apple Fritter
against a Crispy Cream Donut that he comes barging in
here in a few minutes raising all kinds of stuff when
he finds out his Jumbies are coming to his house on
Tuesday morning! heh heh heh

So what's up? Rob is waxing cars today, Shep is wahooing,
and Goofy is freezing more than I am. Going back under
the covers sounds like a good idea to me.

By the way, what is a Wahoo? I thought that was what
you said when you won the Lottery. Its a fish, eh?
And why would Shep want a sail on his fishing boat?
I thought he had motors on his boat. Confusing. I am
sure he will explain it all later. :)

Back to bed, I'm retired you know, I can do that.

Goofy,
Sorry, we posted at the same time and as it was a click and run, I didn't see your post.
Stay warm and safe up there. Sounds Dreadful.

Jumbies are easy RTL. All you need is a fist full of salt to keep them busy for hours. It's all those other critters that are a problem.

Wonder will the sun make an appearance today? Same gray outside that it has been all weekend.

AAAaakkk !!

What am I going to do with 3 Returned Jumbies ???
This is Terrible, you know.
A Horrible way to start a Monday morning.
A Dreadful introduction to a week when I had plans to completely Bliss Out.
A Dismal beginning to the rest of this month, and a Gloomy year ahead.....

I will need to consider my future, very carefully.

Maybe I'll go and join Sheph. He obviously needs help. I can hear him shouting "wahoo' from here.

I had intended to go back to sleep but SugarBear had
awakened and requested coffee and was then going back
to sleep herself so while she is having her coffee I
decided to check here once more and noticed you and
the Captain had checked in.

Fear not my friend, your three Jumbies are coming back
changed and mellow creatures. What I failed to tell
the three goofy little critters before I put them in
the crawl space under the house was that when I bought
the house five years ago I blessed the house. When you
bless a house that includes the very land that it sits
on you see. In effect it makes the entire house and
land hallowed ground.

When Igor put them in the crawl space and stood guard
at the only entrance they were totally surrounded by
holy ground and building. They could not come up through
the hard woods floors of the house, nor get out through
the walls, nor could they dig down and out through
hallowed earth. Igor said they realized they were not
where they wanted to be but the warmth of the heater
and the kindness they had been shown began to mellow
them out like nothing they had ever known.

Kindness will do that to the worst of us you know.:)
Igor told them that you were also a friend of his,
and he would not take kindly if they did not treat you
and your family with respect from now on. I think you
will find that no more tricks will be played on you
in the future. No need to thank me my friend.

Of course, a small gratuity could always be sent to my
account in Grand Cayman if one were so inclined. :)

Back to bed this time for sure.

Whew !!

Thank you so much, for those reassuring words.
Yes, it is well known that Holy Ground changes even the most vile into better creatures. Us too.

Well done, my friend.
You have gone a long way to changing things for The Better.

I am off now, to perform many tasks, with a Song in my Heart and a Smile on my Lips.

Hi Todd!
That's awful! Sweating pretty good here.

Yes, Pottery, I did and I still do. Done with the bath and the first coat of sealer. Angie currently primping the inside while I take a break, cool off, and find some lunch. When I said I wanted to spend the whole day rubbing her body, apparently she thought I meant the car!

Little sucker is a lot bigger than it looks!

Okay. All done for the day.
Tomorrow, Angie can show up at work and touch up her lipstick in her reflection in the hood if she wants.

Will probably put one more coat of liquid glass on next weekend, then a coat of "Mother's" in a couple weeks.

We bought Angie's old car used and didn't get to it in time to save the silver metallic paint. But even 20 yrs old, she kept it immaculate on the inside.

Trying to help her keep this one just as nice on the outside as in.

Only problem I have with this car is that it's gonna end up getting me a ticket. 70 mph feels like 50. Gotta get used to using the cruise control I guess.

Making beef jerky in the trash can cooker.

This is the second test run.

Last nights effort was good, think crispy bacon X5. Only a few peices survived, I don't have sharp teeth anymore :)

4hrs tops in the trash can. Luckly I checked, would of been more teeth grinders for sure.

Good texture, flavor fab, very smokey, but needs a widdy bit more salt and pepper, but this batch is add to taste.

Tune in for tomorrow nights burn off. :)

Fish for breakfast??? No way. Never. Ever. :)

Well, except maybe Redfish.

Or Snook.

With garlic butter.

Or lemon pepper.

Or broiled with a strawberry walnut glaze. :)

See, I actually will eat "some" fish.

Like Red Snapper filets deep fried with a cornmeal coating. YUM

Forecast for a. snakin, makin bacon, in Macon this weekend calls for clouds, temps above 32 F, and chance of rain. No snow. Tune in again next week for another exiting installment of As the worm turns where we watch the next cold wave from the frozen north and the next wet wave from the Gulf combine and form rain or snow on the little worms in the land of the Bulldogs.

Not gonna try to guess RTLSNK's forecast for this weekend. Mine has been changing every 3 hours for the past 2 days. And that's just for tonight and tomorrow night. Currently holding at 60. Forecast currently says 42 for tonight but that won't happen. Still...not betting on snow for Macon this weekend.

Then again, I only bet on a sure thing.

Interesting Info Ylee. I only hope that the page rolls before Angie reads that. I think that is one cooking show (???) that she hasn't discovered yet!
:o)
