Welcome to The Ark

If you need to get away from all the "end of the world" hullabaloo, well, what better place to hide than an Ark?

Hang out, play some music, have a cookie, some eggnog, or maybe some grog. Be ready to celebrate that we're all still here!

The tutorial for the Youtube code generator is now in Post 7 and 8 of The Ark help files. The link to the generator is now in the right column in my links section here.

Please read the tutorial. It's really easy once you know what to and not to do.

Enjoy!

It is always good to offer options. LOL

Draggin her back to her cave brings back another memory.

One night, my youngest and Angie were arguing about AM bathroom scheduling. Angie and her had to both be 45 minutes away at the same time in the morning. Daughter was in high school taking college classes where Angie worked.
(master bath was not an option because if I was home, I wasn't getting woke up that early)

Anyway, I'm sitting at the computer one night writing reports, doing training schedules, and such, and finally I'd heard enough.

You have to realize, I'm a very calm person. I kinda go with whatever is going on domestically. I don't raise my voice much. Usually a look is sufficient.

Well, I went into the hall, where they were both standing in their bedroom doorways arguing.

I told them the fighting was done, they were gonna work this out quietly and calmly or I was gonna send them BOTH back to live with their mothers.

Jaws dropped and you could have heard a pin drop.

There was no more arguing that night.

ROFL!

I wondered what happened to all my stuff!
I think it was the Pocahontas outfit that did me in.
Guess we all have our weaknesses.

I know what you mean, SugarBear did out shoot me at the
range using the laser on her Ruger. :)

I remember a funny cartoon about cavemen years ago.
Had 4 sections, the first one showed the cave man
dragging a female into his cave, the second one showed
the female sweeping all of his bachelor stuff out of
the cave, 4 sets of antlers, 37 empty coconut shells,
and a poster of Rachel Welch in her cavegirl outfit.
Third one shows him dragging her back to where he got
her, and the last one shows him carring his poster of
Rachel Welch back into his cave! LOL

Nah, Angie is spoiled and she knows it.

If I was worried, I wouldn't have all those swords on the bedroom wall.

(even I sleep occasionally)

It was just a joke buddy, really, just a joke!
SugarBear laughed like crazy with the rest of us.

Then she said sort of quietly under her breath,
of course I do have Angie's phone number.

They can be scary can't they?

You are a Prince among Men my good man!!!

Of course Sugar Bear just said I am not allowed
to talk to you any more. :)

Dinner is ready, back later.

Okay now...here is a strange thing that I don't really understand.

Here we have a fine gentleman, a rather heavy duty specimen of the 75th variety. I'm not exactly a wimp. I've had a little training, and I'm substantially younger. I might make suggestions, but I'm not about to tell him what he's allowed to do. Even if I succeeded, I know I'd hurt a lot for the next couple days.

But...some cute little wisp of a girl can give him a certain look and tell him what is allowed and not allowed.

Somewhere, between the days when we raided the neighbors cave, clubbed a cutie over the head and carried her back to our own cave and today,...some fool dropped the ball!

...just an observation.

And...I have to be careful because SugarBear has Angie's phone number!

didn't reply because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to talk to 'Snake or if it's just a one way thing...

Thought I'd throw that in there because banana bread taste like cake, but it's not cake because it can't be cake if it's bread!

Therefore, not a violation of the "no cake" policy!

Topped with bananas foster.
Topped with home made french vanilla ice cream!

Okay, I understand about the noodles now.
What kind of cake?
Does it go on top too, or on the side?

That was good wise guy, and quick too! :)

Cake is a no no now. No more cake until our Birthday Party.

SugarBear has requested an Orange Pound Cake with
Chocolate Icing this year. YUM

We still have 14 Christmas Nut Cookies left. It is
against family policy to throw away nut cookies so
we are being forced to have a few each day until the
cookie tin is empty. We are just forcing ourselves to
eat them. heh heh heh

No, sorry, left that part out, it should have been:

put everything in the crock pot except the noodles!

You do the noodles separate and then put the noodles
on your plate and add what's in the crock pot on top.
The chinese noodles are the little curly q noodles
that only take 3 minutes to boil. Piece of cake. :)

Hmmm, plastic flowers, not a bad idea if you think about it.
No watering problems, no fertilizer, no topsoil needed,
no compost needed, bugs don't eat them, birds don't bother them.
I wonder how long they last in direct sunlight? Hmmm.

Dinner is in the Crock Pot, what a great time saver.
Put everything into the crock pot at 9 AM, turn it on low,
dinner is ready at 6 PM. How easy is that?

Chinese pork with veggies and noodles. Yum.

That ark is apparently made of wood. I am not clever enough to fashion a camera out of wood. In reality, it is composed of pixels. I've been working on it, but am lacking the technology to hide a camera in a pixel...yet.

No, a pink toed arachnid keeps watch, reports to a jumbie, who in turn tells a wood nymph, who finally sends me a text. All reports are duly entered into a database and forwarded to Santa Clause at the beginning of December.

So now you know.

Morning Arkers!

Last chilly morning around here, temps are supposed to
go back into the 70's in the next few days. Strange
winter weather, eh?

My honey do list now contains a lot of raking and
gathering of various plant thingies that SugarBear has
dug up out of the gardens and thrown willie nillie
into the yard during her winter purge of the gardens
and landscape areas. It seems that the "New and Improved"
landscape plan calls for a complete change
of something she calls "The Look". This is sort of a
new design known only to SugarBear and her laptop
landscape design software that she spends untold hours
developing in the wee hours of the night.

Due to the tender and as yet unrepaired right shoulder
I have been spared the digging portion of this new
design and the pallets of compost I would normally be
dumping in all of the gardens at this time of year have
been put off until close to spring time when she expects
me to be "post operative", totally repaired, and ready
to do the heavy work to which I am accustomed.

A slave driver she is, a slave driver. :)

Hi Arkers!

Just checking in, the small group Bible Study Sugar Bear and I used to go to on Tuesday nights has been changed to Monday nights this year so I'll be back about this time on Mondays from now on.

Wow, cooking in a garbage can, sort of a dual purpose unit I must say. :) Rather handy after dinner too!

Hey Pottery, see the Ark above? It has a camera in it.
When you click on the blog it can see you, you might
want to put some more clothes on the next time you
show up here ok?

heh heh heh

Oh HO !

I do wish you had told me this before.

I spent several hours last night removing all pictures, books, furniture (including the ones that are permanently fixed to concrete walls), took the paint off large sections, dismantled the desk, removed the door and window frames, lifted some suspicious looking flooring, and so on.

I had no idea he was so clever......

Been crazy wet here for the dry season. Mainly because we've had a few lines just train overhead. Got 10 inches precip in one week last month. Never happens!

That's heavy stuff.
My total for Dec. is a pinch over 12", which is 3" above the average.
What was different was the fact that it rained for 22 days in the month.
Normally, about 12 days. And Jan has been the same.

And yeah, the maps are a little confusing, showing a gentle cloud-cover. But today we got another inch....
Not a breath of wind, just constant dribble for most of the day.
Clear now though. Nice evening !

Plastic, rubber, paper cans do not work! I say do not work if you light them inside a dwelling.

Make crop circle in your backyard. Place TIN can in centre. Fill with flamiables, pour starter fluid on it, run, come back when just a bit of smoke is coming out.(can starter fluid it again, but thats for the flare up and the wow factor., cooking time lessens.

When the fun is over, throw food in cooker shut lid, go watch a game, pub crawl, drink more, you got a few hrs. GO FISH

Ooop!
Now I get it...all mine are plastic.
I'm out a trash can and a chicken I guess!

On a side note thats a good drink as well.

Vodka, (crap vodka is good your mixing it.) grapefruit, salted rim, make that a tripple, don't have to worry about the grapefruit. It only scandalizes the drink anyway.
