The tutorial for the Youtube code generator is now in Post 7 and 8 of The Ark help files. The link to the generator is now in the right column in my links section here.

Please read the tutorial. It's really easy once you know what to and not to do.

Enjoy!

Gee, and here I thought "overloader" was what the dump truck driver told the scoop loader operator when he pulled his dump up to get gravel.

"Hey Bubba, just overloader."

heh heh heh

Thanks Ylee.
I noticed a general state of depression developing so figured somebody had to do something!

All this fussing and moaning on not being able to post utubes, and I can't even see them here at work! :P

BTW, nice job on the javascript, Rob! :)

Couldn't stand it. Had to search for "overloader" and found this. Which is interesting.

That would work best as a "target" at the artillery range.

There's a reason you won't find "that one" down at the local tractor dealer.

Okay...Think I've said "Hi!" to everyone.
Wacky morning here. Busy doesn't quite cover it!
Just a lot of silly business to deal with.

Hope you are all enjoying your day.

Shark and bake! Sounds like something Rob and Shep would eat! :)

Do they have any good Rib Eye Steaks in Trinny?
T-Bone Steaks? Filet Mignon? You know, real food?

You mean like deep fried iguana and monkey ribs?
Also, remember I never said the words blue or tarp!
(I might have thunk them rather loudly)

Greetings Todd!
A cool, cloudy morning here. Had to put on a Tshirt to walk the dog. No shoes required though, except waders to negotiate the new pond.

Club Mud. Yeh, that's it.....

Yesterday was 12/12/12, dont you know. And I thought the place was going to float away.
2" again last night in a torrent.

Took visitors up the mountain on Tuesday, and had to wait nearly an hour for an overloader to appear to clear a section of road that was covered in 2' of boulders and mud.
Have not been in a downpour like that one in years.
Thought the mountain would come down.

Ended up doing the loop down to the coast and all the way round to the City.
Visitors experienced floods, landslides, sunshine, big surf, beers, shark & bake at Maracas Bay, and the City all in one.

Long list today as we finish up Departure Preps.

My friend, the only part of that that was the least appealing was sunshine, beers, and a sammich by the bay!

I tried to warn you about the slippery slopes yesterday!
Have a good day and enjoy your trip!

We totally resent that remark.
Nobody "bakes" a shark.

Yes. But they don't come from a cow.

Oh sure, here I am in the middle of planning how I'm going to hook up 3,750 heat lamps which is what I figured I would need to keep the worms warm and now you want me to switch to smudge pots and a revival tent! Did you know that it takes about 20 really big strong guys to put up a tent that big?

Might work though. I'll get started on it and get back with you.

Lets see, 3,750 smudge pots, could use the 20 guys that could put up the tent to load the smudge pots, would need to rent a big truck to load the smudge pots and the tent with all the poles and ropes and anchor pegs, need a lot of sledge hammers, some vans to haul the 20 guys around. Hmmm, are those dam worms worth all this effort?

I may have to reconsider this whole worm business idea.

Maybe I'll sleep on it. Not the worms of course.

Or run down I-75 by the orange groves and grab a couple of smudge pots while nobody's looking.

And then run by swampy's house and grab his "revival" tent. After he graduated that on-line plumbing school he doesn't use it anymore.

That's a plan.
It could work.

Barefoot and Jus ~ On my sidebar, I have a link called "Magic Button". That's the Youtube code generator that Rob is working on. It works now, but I think he's still tweaking until he goes public with it. It's self-explanatory.

ADD: IMPORTANT: Get the youtube number from the URL in the address bar or the "share" URL that's under the video. (For example, xmNzLlxxnNk) But you can't use the whole URL under the video. It's different from the one in the address bar, and only the address bar URL will work in the code generator. But just the number is all you need.

The old object oriented embeds won't be coming back to youtube. They've gone to iframes completely because that's what works best with mobile devices and such. But now we have the workaround.

Another way to do it is to go here, copy the "object" embedded video code and manually substitute the youtube video number where it's required. That's what I was doing until Rob did his magic.

Magic Button huh?
LOL

Okay, nobody hate on me until I write a tutorial, but Shore covered most of it. You can use the youtube.com/watch... url in the address bar and it will parse properly. You can't use the www.youtu.be... address in the share box. Naturally it won't embed anything that has embedding forbidden, it's not that magic. It's just a couple hundred lines of Javascript with creative commons licensing allowing me to modify it for my own means. Doesn't link to anything except Youtube. In fact, you should be able to save the .html file to your desktop and run it from there.

The default width is 480 which works well with WU. Normally you will use the code generated in the first box for standard definition or the last box for widescreen format.

I intend to add some more to the code, like "no-cookie" but have not had the time to devote to it this week.

Enjoy and send all complaints to Shore for jumping the gun!

Heat Lamps! That's a great idea!

Now lets see, 50 feet by 150 feet is 7500 sq ft.

Wonder what the coverage of one heat lamp is?

Hmmm, thats going to be a lot of heat lamps. :)

I do have an outside electric socket on that side of the house.

Wonder what size breaker there is for that socket.

I'll work on that idea Shep and get back to you.

Ha Ha Ha, you don't think Ranger Rick could be fooled that easily do you?

I read a Consumer's Report article years ago about how hackers can put a trojan program in your computer that can turn on your laptop cam and video you when you are sitting at your desk. Not my laptop! Not with that piece of Duct Tape over the camera eye.:)

Takes more than that to outfox SpongeBob...I mean Ranger Rick.

Goofy, are you using my converter gizmo or the new embed code.

What I see above is a blank player.
(just white space)

might also be that you are using an embed disabled video.

just checked the page source. yours is missing the video identifier just has

http://www.youtube.com/v/

there should be a string of characters after the /v

like this:

Was thinking a nice ham and pepperjack cheese with pepperoni and sliced tomatoe sandwich on thin sliced bagel bread with Miracle Whip and Bread and Butter Pickles would be good.

Hmmm, no BBQ chips in the pantry, how did that happen?
