For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!

Morning Rob and Arkers!

Got your phone msg Rob, thanks.

Good to know it wasn't my laptop HAL. :)

Aah, the C.E.V. Combat Engineer Vehicle. My favorite.

M-60 tank, 165mm cannon, bull-dozer blade, A-frame crane.

Used it for mine sweep patrol security. Some dumb sniper would fire a round at us, the CEV would turn the cannon in his direction and fire one 165mm shape charge round at him. The shrappnel radius of the round is 1200 yards in a big circle. We would never hear another shot fired. :)

Big doings going on around here today, finish the digging up list in the garden this morning, a little last minute food shopping after a nice lunch at local deli, one must never go grocery shopping when hungry you know, odd things jump into your cart all by themselves when you do that, then the advance cooking begins. Homemade cornbread has to be made so you can use that in your cornbread stuffing. I have been informed by SugarBear that one should never use old dried out cornbread that comes in a bag at the store to make your cornbread stuffing. It has to be "home-made cornbread!!! And I thought I was a stickler for details. :)

Then of course the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pies have to be made the day before Thanksgiving so that SugarBear and I can test one of them the night before when they are still warm to insure that the chocolate and bourbon is the right consistency before the guests have some of it tomorrow. :)

Perhaps I should try one Dark Chocolate pie and one Milk Chocolate pie this year. I prefer the Milk Chocolate and SugarBear the Dark Chocolate of course. We are so different. :)

Thanks, finally got a chance to listen. Haven't heard that in a while.

It's a good track! I have a soft spot for electronic, it's a guilty pleasure of mine. For example, I really love this song as well (it's a significantly newer track (and a significantly newer sound too), this one is from this spring):

(yeah, right)

:):))

He's already a character...and that character on a big dozer would be way too scary to contemplate!

I hear he prefers the snub nosed model.

OK, OK, keep it down will you?

Welcome back by the way Pottery!

Had some kind of "Internal Server Error" last night at
821 PM whatever the hell that means and couldn't even
get on the WU site for the rest of the night. Did all
the laptop diagnostics like "Defrag", "Disc Cleanup",
"Full 2 hour long security scan", "Malware Scan", and
all kinds of stuff and whatnot and they all said:
"Laptop is working fine", "must be an ID 10 T error."

Don't you hate it when your computer is a wise guy! :)

Another busy day in the gardens this morning ripping
and tearing and digging stuff up prior to spraying
some kind of new chemical fungi killing poison that
will probably alter every DNA code of every bug and
worm and bee and bird and beatle that lives in the
garden soil so that in the spring when we go out there
to plant new stuff we will find giant dog sized bugs
waiting to bite our hands off.

Better take the Mossberg out there next spring. :)

Mhhhh....
Attack with Ultimate Force. But keep in mind that you are upsetting the natural balance of stuff and whatnot.
But you know that already.

It's times like these, when you are between a Fungus and a SB (or a Lady Pott or whatever) that you wish you had a Caterpillar D6.
A complete revamp/regrade/rethink/replant sounds like a Good Idea at the moment.
Of course, I left refinance out, there. And you'll probably need that too when yer done with the bulldozer.

Carry on, my friend, these things are sent to build Character, you know.
(yeah, right)

Gretchen Wilson, Alice in Chains, and Nancy Wilson.
Gretchen does a great job with this song.

Good Morning Todd and Shep!

Have sun today. Feel much better.

Shep, don't you have more important things to do, like fishing lessons or teaching the boy how to carve a slingshot?

WAKE UP....

it's 6:54. In the morning.

Oh shut up.
Now you've done it.
You woke up my daughter and she handed me a "list".

Actually I think it's the same list I had last time.

Geesch...what do women do?...make carbon copies of these cottin-pickin things to do???

:)))

Let's see...
1. Finish changing out door hinges.

Oh, OK. I see now. It's the "unfinished list" list.

No problem.

Need more coffee.

Hope he didn't flop face first into the fungi patch!

Rest well folks.
Cya tomorrow!

Well, Pottery. We'll just hope that tomorrow is better.

Not terribly cold. Stayed pretty close to 60 all day. Windy and depressing sky. No rain today. Just been dark and cloudy for about 4 days now. Should see low 50s tonight.

Nah, it's not really that bad, just not sunshine state kinda weather.

Todd,
Wow, that's pretty wet! Hope you get some sun tomorrow too!

He sent some here too, but it's all good!

Double BAH!

Wish 'Rattler would close the dang door! Dagburn persistent Yankee weather is downright ridiculous! Gray sky and lack of sunshine is beginning to damage my calm!

Oh, and the afternoon forecast update still said it would be mostly sunny and 76. Didn't see a single patch of blue all day. Here's a hint fellas, look at the pic on the top of this blog before committing to writing.

Anyhow, time to go to my parent's place for dinner with sister and nieces. Back later.

Glad you got your comms back Pottery.br>We figured you just had another holiday or something.

Nah !
But after the last couple of days, a Vacation would be very welcomed.
It's been "one of those days" for DAYS......

Well !
That sure was a Bummer...
Lost power on Wed, and when it came back up it fried the adapter that powers the antenna. So no internet, emails, comms. of any sort until just now. Took the supplier all this time to bring a new one.

Life used to be so very simple without all the Froth we have now.
BAH !

Need to spend some time answering a bunch of mail, and getting up to steam.

Hello Todd!

Hi 'Snake!

Cool and damp here today. Would have been nice to have had all this persistent cloudiness in July & August instead of mid November.

Morning Arkers!

Busy day planned, taking out some of the plants that
went belly up in the last few weeks to make room for
new ones in the spring. Removing the brown mulch on the
top of all the gardens because some of the little bad
fungi came in on that stuff they tell us. SugarBear is
not giving up, she has decided to go medieval on their
tails. :)

Have a great time Shep!

So where is Pottery again?

Last country song tonight...I think.
Posting this one because I have 2 friends that have album credits for this one...and toured with her.

As I understand it she was the wife of one of the principles of Big 3 entertainment. Anyway, my friends had fun doing this(and made some $$$)...even if it wasn't really their thing.
Oh, and they got to play at the CMA!

I do love this stuff though.
Had a really great friend that was killed by lightning when I was 18. He loved Merle. This was one of my favs from his collection.

Howdy stat.

I think he's saying he's proud that you're still in school and doing well.

So often, we see just the opposite.

...for what it's worth...take the compliment.

Ohhhh okay. Sorry, I misunderstood the gesture.

Quoting RTLSNK:

Hey Stat, that is cool, one red eye and one blue eye.

And the red and blue reflection on the fingers is a nice touch.

Looks like he is radiating his fingers clean. :)

'Sup! I didn't actually draw that (or my avatar), for what it's worth. XP

Stat,
Shep caught most of it. Also, I'm not always right, but I'm generally a pretty good judge of character. I think you are a person of good character. When you came to the blogs you were just a kid but you conducted yourself with a maturity beyond your years. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and I've never regretted that.

So...just accept the compliment in the spirit intended.

Well, I'm glad you think highly of me! :D

And I will do my best to continue to make all of you guys proud.

Skye,
About an hour after you posted that, a downpour blew up outta nowhere and persisted for about 90 minutes before moving away.
Not gonna have to water for a few days. In fact, if this keeps up I might need a bigger lake!

Hope you had a good ride. Haven't been on a horse in about years. Might outta make the time for it.

RTL,
Glad your girl got home safe. She flew the wrong direction though. Cloudy and gray here with a stiff north wind, but temps are quite tolerable.

38*F in Macon this morning, no snow yet. :)

Temp in garage still at 60*F. Not too bad.

Thanksgiving in four days.
