Properly aged I presume?
Hey, at least he loves you enough to share!
More rain today with almost an inch in about 45 mins, according to Lady Pott.
I was in the city. The Traffic was Bad. Everywhere.
Must be coming on Christmas or something.
Was just having a beverage with the Lady, and I said "so, should I stir a pot or something?"
Her response was Immediate and Frantic.
Tonight we will have rather burned minced lamb........
Stuff happens when your'e having fun.
Pottery, you are so distracting to the ladies!
Next time don't wait until you are sure that you smell smoke before saying anything.
Man it has been Monday this evening.
Right about 5 pm I had 3 parties trying to phone me. I need a good secretary but a good secretary makes more than I did last month so...
Then, I thought I had it whooped, mixed a drink and brought it out on the deck. Said to myself, "Self, perhaps you should bring your laptop so you can check your personal email, check your blog, and listen to some tunes."
Self said unto me "Yes, that does sound like a good plan."
so, while setting the laptop down on the little table, I knock my drink and spilled half of it.
Uggghhh!
I don't like Monday!
ROB: Bartenders have a rag for drinks on the bar, and stock to repair the spill;
I survived it. Watching Susanna Hoffs for a few minutes always makes me feel better.
Kokomo doesn't sound like a bad idea, but Pottery spoiled my fantasy. Even 'down de islands' they have Christmas Rush.
Oh, well.
Mustique perhaps?
Heh!
The overdone lamb was quite good.
Well, better than the option, which was a slice of bread.....
Anyway, I have always found that some decent rum takes the Misery out of Mondays.
So I had 2 of those.
Now, all is well.
Has not rained for a couple of hours, but I'm thinking some showers are in the near future.
Nevermind...you answered while I was typing.
Actually, Susanna reminds me a lot of a very dear friend who always knew how to bring a smile to my face. Still can...
This one ought to give you sweet dreams.
Okay...I promise...no more Bangles girls tonight.
Good tunes there, thankee !
Going to crash early.
Had one of 'those' conversations earlier...
You'all know the one..
"So, what are you doing in the morning?"
Me, "Er, I have a few things planned that I didnt finish today"
"Oh. Because someboddy has to take a painting to San Fernando before 10"
Me, "Ah, somebody, huh?"
"Yeah, I dont know where the place is"
Me "Do you have an address?"
"Oh. Thanks. Here it is. That's the painting. And a phone number too!"
Yep.
Done in again.....
:):))
Poor Pottery!
Rest Well My Friend!
Paying a never ending respect.
May your inner peace be your strength.
...namaste
Nice, and I know appreciated.
Out for a while.
Have a good night friends.
-Peace!
1 down,
4 to go.
Gasp!!!
I'm late for...uh...
Shut up shep.
Important things to do today.
1. How many ways can guacamole be used?
2. Which lure works best on December Blue Gills.
:)))
Maybe you will share the results of your research?
You could probably get a research grant but all the paperwork would likely defeat the purpose of retirement.
Thanks for the tune!
Hope your morning is going well.
Lunch time here. Guess I'll go peek in the fridge and see what's available.
One of my favorite organizations is Toys for Tots.
The Blue Angels used Fat Albert to fly in toys for kids in NY and NJ who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Not the first time, they have flown Toys for Tots missions into storm ravaged areas in the past, but still...so good to know that our military is trying to make Christmas a little better for the kids.
Thanks Guys...You Rock!!
(and thanks to everyone who donates to support these efforts)
A photo of "Fat Albert", a C-130 cargo plane operated by the Blue Angels team.
My trip to San Fernando was rather painless. Mission accomplished.
Had friends for lunch.
Well actually, we had lunch in the company of friends.
Which is a very different thing altogether.
Lively discourse, a bottle of wine, plates of food.
Now is a good time to Retire.......
(wish me luck, here! )
You Jest, Shirley ?
"Retirement" is one of those words with multiple meanings.
It could mean 'withdraw', but I leave that for Swamp to deal with.
It could mean 'retreat', but noboddy around here knows what that is.
It could mean 'rest' as in 'siesta', but that's wishful thinking isn't it.....
So, in short, we are no further along than we were when we started........
Has Snakeymon reappeared from his awolness ??
Everything seems so Relaxed..........
If I hear otherwise, I'll let you know.
Sure he'll check in here at the earliest opportunity though.
(well, after he takes a nap of course)
Beer & Soda.
Soylent Green.
Come on Pottery...I dare you!
:o)
(for the reader who doesn't know, they are discussing water, food, population...well, pretty much anything but the topic, but water is kinda sorta like weather, well, it is related anyway.)
2 down 3 to go.
Don't know if you ever made it to the Ukraine...perhaps you should have?
Hope you enjoyed the tunes folks.
Rest well.
Goodnight.
Hey, I spent a couple of hours over there this afternoon, doing everything except mentioning that !
I had forgotten that one, in fact. Thanks for the reminder.
Some fun posts from some unlikely sources too!
Lovely evening here, with the bed calling out loudly......
Happy 80th Birthday Little Richard
:)))
UTube acting stupid this AM, so no song.
Have a good one.
Hope you all got a good night's sleep and are feeling well.
Looks to be a pretty nice day here with highs in the upper 70s, plenty of sunshine, a light breeze, and a slight chance of isolated showers.
Chamber of commerce weather.
Hi Arkers!!!
Yes, it is I, snakeymon, reporting in again.
Flying back to Atlanta today from Arkansas.
Will be back online tonight.
Thank you all for your wonderful thoughts and prayers
and WU-mails about my Mother's passing.
Will make it really tough to bust your chops again,
but I'll read back and see if I can find something.:)
Ranger Rick
Good to see your Avatar. Yeah, I'm sure you'll find something when you read back. Even Pottery noticed how it was way too calm around here during your absence.
Have a good flight man.
Hugs to SB!
You still above water there?
Safe travels, Snake!
Yep, I remember those.
Got Predators now...
Scary, that! Someday those DAM things will be cruising all over the country, keeping us "safe"... :(
