In the meantime, I'm taking advantage of the fact that it's not currently raining here by lighting a fire and cooking some food!

I've been watching the thing at 60 for a couple days. Started out UUL and that was fine but worked down into the mid levels yesterday and looks to me like it's digging to the surface.

Of course, that's just one man's opinion, but it's awful close to home for a lot of us!

That 70s thing doesn't appear to have anything resembling a closed circulation, but a lot of convection that could provide fuel if the other thing started wrapping it up.

Not panicking, just not as calm as I was this morning!
LOL

Good Will was still hunting at 7 am.
Gone into hiding now that the sun is actually cutting through some of the clouds. Didn't like me trying to take pics of him.

Wish I still had a good old fashioned 35mm w/a long lens.

Not me,
When I retire, I'm gonna sleep late, stay up all night, and eat lunch when the restaurants aren't crowded!

Always did have an aversion to the 8 to 6 routine!

But wait a minute. It's Saturday, why am I even up?

Good question.
Practice maybe?

Snakers and I have 6 Saturdays every week :))) ...yet we show up frequently,(Hell, damn near every day),bright eyed and bushy-tailed to rattle cages and stir up the dust.
We figure ya got wake up sooner or later...and at our ages "waking up" is a good thing.

Woke up this morning,
smiled with the risin sun.
Three little birds
pitch by my doorstep.

Cat is walking around complaining about everything.
Little does she know, she goes to the vet for shots today...hehhehheh.

Coffee not working after 3 cups. Need some of that coffee you eat with a fork that RTL had yesterday.

But wait a minute. It's Saturday, why am I even up?

Oh, yeah...the cat!

Morning snakers

72F here.

Glad you beat the Mrs to the coffee pot this AM.

:)

78.8 at 6:00, 80 at 7:00.
Methinks it will be warm and muggy all day.

It was a little early, so please excuse me for thinking that Snake had beaten his Lady with a coffee pot at dawn.
I am very glad that I did not follow this example, as I would have been at Pains to explain my behaviour..... Whew!

I always follow the example set by my Superiors, you know.

This is much better, I made the coffee this morning!

How sweet it is!

Coffee will be ready in 5 mins here.
Then I will go back to bed, and Cogitate on the future......

It's a bit cloudy overhead.
We will see if Hoods Campaign will bear fruit this morning,

Patience, my friend.
More coming.

You weren't supposed to drink the SBR!!!!

Anyhow, been outside watching the light show and the owl hunting. Think I will name him Good Will. Unless he eats the favorite squirrel, in which case he will be Bad Will.

So...Will the juvenile Great Horned Owl.
There you go.

Will watch a movie, give a massage, or whatever.
Lady's choice since it is Friday.

Rest Well Friends!

You are welcome.
Have to admit, if I'd known you were serving SBR I'd have been tempted to come and perform the ritual personally!

Have a great night my friend!

Well, as the thing worked out, the SBR was/is great, but no rain has resulted.
The Blob disintegrated just a couple of miles from here and I think you better get here with your feathers and runes or whatever, soon.

The froggies are happily croaking and squeaking outside, and the evening is a Very Nice One.

Going to watch an old movie with the Lady, so there is nobody watching the rigging for a while.......

Okay, Pottery.
They tell me that all the pieces are in place, but they want me to tell you that you have to set out a shot of rum, not the cheap stuff either, and dance.

LOLOL

All the pieces are indeed in place....
A huge looming entity is growing more threatening by the moment, just south and west of me.
Rum is being decanted into suitable containers in a very few minutes.
Single Barrel Reserve, no less.

Thanks for all your help, Capt.
I knew I could count on you .

Cheers!

You better hope that you never get a spider up yer pants.....

It's gonna take two and a half hours to get out of that....
..or is that wot the axe is for ?

I think that's what he's planning on using to take his stitches out.

Really, Snake, just leave them be!

BTW Pott. You got a big blob coming. If you can't dance a storm out of that, I don't know what to tell you.

Good morning, Cupcakes.

Glad you can put two and two together this morning.

:)

Are we gonna have to put a Clorox bottle around your head to keep you from chewing at those stitches?

Hmmm?

Just trying to picture your avatar with a Clorox bottle around your head and heavy mittens on your hands.

I like it.

Yes, it is, isn't it ?

And I'm happy to say that it worked very well too !

The sky became black, lightening was flashing and loud noises came upon me like a Hoard of Bombastic Bison.
Copious rain (1.5" in no time flat) and now drizzling.

Thanks for the heads-up, Capt.
I think the Fae Jumbies are Pacified !

Oh, and the paint seems to have held up quite well, maybe because the step was about 160F when I put it on....

57*F with patchy fog in Macon this morning.
Great day for working in the yard,

LOL :))

Thanks Shep, Holy Army Coffee Batman, remind me to never sleep in late like this again, SugaBear got up and made the coffee this morning. There are no words to express how strong she makes coffee except maybe EXPRESSO, BLACK MUD, CUBAN COFFEE, yeah, thats close to what she brought me. When I took a sip my mouth sent an immediate emergency message to the brain:

WARNING - WARNING - DO NOT LET THIS BOZO PUT THAT CUP TO HIS LIPS AGAIN UNTIL THIS POISON HAS BEEN DILUTED WITH HALF A CUP OF MILK - WARNING - WARNING

I have a stainless steel coffee cup that holds 2 cups of coffee. I went out into the kitchen and took the top off of it and poured half and half into the cup and the milk simply disappeared down into the black mud and didn't change the color until I stirred it with a spoon. LOL

Thats it, I'm getting my own alarm clock so I am the first one up in the morning!

Pottery - SIL is doing much better, went to work yesterday but is taking things slow, Cipro is working, they still don't know what caused it.

My leg is healing up faster now, stitches come out on Monday morning, wish they would do it today, stuff itches like hell now. I usually heal up from small incisions like that in four days but the Dr's never believe me and make me wait seven days. By Monday I'll have to be wearing gloves to keep myself from cutting the dam stitches out myself. :)

No yard work until Monday, Dr still has me on bedrest the big bozo, what the hell does he know?

OK snake, back away from the black mud. LOL

Arranged for a moisture plume for you Pottery, right before sunset. Hope you donned your pink shoes and appropriate headdress and danced under the cloud.

The water nymph informed me that she is not interested in discussing your situation tonight as a cousin of hers, a forest nymph from your region, felt slighted by your attentions to a certain construction girl over the course of the last month.

These gentle fae folk do become offended over the slightest things you know. They are very sensitive about such things.

Suggest you find a way to make amends ASAP. Then I will be able to intercede for you.

Have a good night folks.

Hmmmm.
It really does seem that I have caused a bit of Jealousy with the Fae Folk.
I am now convinced that it was they that placed the Immovable Stump where they knew I would kick it.
It is obviously they that are sending these overcast skies, occasional thunder and NO RAIN, just to Taunt me.

I have 'taken in front' today.

Apparently we got more rain after I went to bed last night.
Everything pretty well soaked outside. Don't think I will be mowing the back yard for a couple more days without leaving ruts. And more in the forecast.

Guess I'll head out for a while and pull some weeds (which are thriving) and pick some peppers.

I will try my best to get you something this evening.

See, there is another reason you don't want to be me. It's a lot of pressure.

If that doesn't work, I'll meet with a water nymph at midnight and see what can be done.

(You can help by facing your fans to blow to the east.)

Greetings !

Well, Capt. Hood, the rains are certainly falling. Somewhere else. Like on your house !

Nary a wee drappy 'ere, don't yee know?
However, it was a Pleasant enough day.
But I went to the top of my cistern (one of 3 in series) and realise that if it does not rain by Sat. eve, I will have to start pulling from cistern 2.

Still have 2000 gals in plastic tanks for plants and stuff. So no probs ....
