Good Morning Pottery!
I noticed that I had some photos from you to share with the crew but decided to await your return for your commentary.

Will try to do that tomorrow.

Good Morning !

Tobago was filled with Adventures and Stuff.
Also, an entire day of sitting by a pool, in gentle overcast, sipping beer and wondering why a circle has no end.

Enough to keep a man occupied for hours......

Busy one here today.
Lady Pott has 'plans'....
Son needs a curved, 16'X9' seamless wall built in a studio for photo stuff.....
Glazed doors to collect for Studio, and hang.....
Glow-plugs on truck to check. Hard-starting yesterday and today.....
May as well replace the mount on the gearbox in the meantime....
More coffee needed, right now.....

3 more days in Longwood and then back home.
Friday will be my first day off in 6 weeks. :)

It was worth it.

The grass in the swamp is gonna be pretty high by now!

RTLSNK,
Why are you stumbling around in the dark? If it's that cool you should be snuggling under a blanket and sleeping late.

I can't...gotta race the garbage truck...back later.

Enjoy

Good evening!
Been a long day, even for a Monday, but figured I ought to check in before I get away from my desk for a while.

Quoting theshepherd:
12 piece KFC!

I can dig on that also :))

Ate 6 pieces last night.
Wish I could order a bucket of fried chicken skin!

Save some for me, dude.
I'll be down a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving week.

Oss,
Thanks man...I'm pretty sure that tune is a brain worm!

Ski,
Sweet!
I'm jealous!

RTL,
at the risk of sounding redundant,
I'm jealous!

Shep,
Makes sense to me!

Tonight...Angie decided she didn't really feel like cooking.
12 piece KFC!
Yum!

Sheph's "Lawn Theory":

He who mows last, mows least.
End of theory. :)))

Grass was put here on earth to prevent erosion and should never be allowed to grow so high that it becomes a fire hazard.
How's that for procrastination?
:)

The buzz on the swamp grapevine is that the rabbits of the world have united and are signing a petition to keep 20% of all lawns paved in clover.

I think they call it the "Fair Clover Act".

I signed it....couldn't hurt, eh?
:)

Hi all,

Just had some ice cream from a birthday party.

I have not had that for a while (not a sweets eater) and it was good.....

I would tell you it sparked this song in my head.

A good tune none the less :)

I gain weight every time I hear this, LOL>

Anybody got a line on Anteaters?
I'm thinking I could make a fortune renting them out in Florida right now. Never seen anything like it.

Looks like RTLSNK just got rained on!

Sunny and rather windy here. Perfect for drinks on the deck before dinner.

Too late, killed all the clover already. :(

Yeah, that was a noisy little storm, little rain,
little lightning, little wind, we were lucky from
what that front is doing elsewhere.

Dinner is ready, back later.

Good Advice Skye!

Now, where did you dig that tune up from?
Cute lyrics.

Ylee,
Never heard of fertilizing with mole manure, but I suppose it's possible!

My lawn must be well-fertilized, because the moles like it, too! :P

Clover also fixes nitrogen from the air to the soil. It fertilizes your lawn for you if you give it a home.

Careful not to kill your four-leaf clover luck..

I like clover; it looks well in my yard with the dandelions while they are in bloom! :)

I'm with you Ylee. If it's green and covers the dirt and I can mow it, it counts as grass. If I don't have to mow it...so much the better!

Fun and games here already.  Blizz and Sully have some discussions on early AM storms here.   Still on the table this afternoon are wind, rain, waves and beach erosion.  Followed by cold and fall.  Ugg.

Saw this morning what you folks are gonna be dealing with.
Hope folks will play it safe!

Meanwhile, I went down to the lake this morning to check the level after the latest rain yesterday.

Full to the bank. 1st time I remember that since 2004.

That's ok, it is Saturday you know.
Mini Clover is trying to take over my lawn.
I don't allow that sort of thing to happen.
I think I will go spray something deadly on them. :)

Actually, by the time you typed that I had already been outside working for an hour and a half. Couldn't wait around for you sleepy heads! Just tiptoed through quietly.

Shep, I noticed that. I guess that's your freebie for the month.

Pottery, have fun!

I aint never had the pleasure, to be sure.
Is he someone I ought to know?

Was out all day, and stopped ay Pyrate Alex's house for dinner.
He started "big school" this week.
He says "Pappi, what the teacher said, I knew it already".
What can I say?

:):))

Off to Tobago in the wee hours until Monday evening.
I will probably not think of you guys. Or anything else, for the duration.
I'm sure you'll understand.
I have always found it hard to think, when my brain is switched off......

Y'all have fun!
I'm going to try to.....

Good afternoon.

I'd really like to go back to bed, but...My parents will be returning home tomorrow, guess I really ought to go over to their place and cut the grass. I'd guess about 2 acres worth.
Gonna be a long, hot afternoon.

I agree 100%, Dorothy.

:)))

Sheph slips under the desk to avoid "incoming".

Back to work. My daughter has given me one more week to work on her new house.
Hmmm...please don't throw me in that briar patch.

I can already smell the salt spray and feel the gentle breezes of the upper Keys as the weather cools and all those tourists covered with oil leave and go home.

Depends on how fat and juicy they are, Shirley?

Funny thing...
Yesterday I came in for lunch and smelled something nice frying.
Peeped into the frying pan and had quite a shock.
The sausages looked very much like plump little squirrels.....

Hot and beautiful morning here.
Looks like I have to drive to town.
That's so boring.

ten of them to make a decent dinner for two people. :)

Not that I have any personal knowledge of that sort of dinner myself you understand.
As a rule I don't eat rats of any kind. :)
