PS: Any one notice that KOG was turning on the fans this morning. This without a reminder from Halo.
Here is one you don't hear often:
Wow, 63.5*F in Macon this morning.
SugarBear and I are taking off on the Harley this morning.
Headed north for a little bit to a nice country breakfast place.
Eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese grits, homemade bisquits
with real butter and honey, sausage gravy over home
fries, strawberry preserves, sliced bananas in cherry sauce, OK, thats it, I'm out of here!

Oh good.
You're skipping the 20 oz soda.
:)))
If I ate like that I'd need a bigger boat and it would take 20 lbs of lead to sink me down to the reef.
:)
edit:
Note that I posted that as I sipped on my second cup of coffee while sucking on a Marlboro.
If I ate a breakfast like that I wouldn't be able to move for 4 hours!
Cloudy again here today w/70% chance of boomers.
Rain already firing up to the south and spreading this way.
But, at least it's autumn, so looking forward to cooler, sunny days to come.
Yes, it is indeed a sad state of affairs!
You just wake up one morning and realize, you aren't in charge anymore. Seen it happen to many a good man!
:o)
Pottery,
Be careful practicing those poses. Sometimes you get into one and can't get back up!
Someone who resides here just went into town for her grocery shopping, post office, etc. I recall saying around 1000 that it would be a good idea to do all that stuff early because it's gonna rain.
Of course, I am smart enough never to say "I told you so"!
Someone is gonna get soaked!
Vindication is sweet enough all by itself.
:)
Just checking in real quick.
Stomach has been kinda yucky tonight. Not sick...just yucky.
Will probably go to bed early.
Still drippy outside. Of course, the one good thing about such a cloudy, gray, rainy day is that I can keep the whole house fairly cool with just the window unit in the office and a fan or two running. Nice to hear it cycling off for a change.
Have a great evening!
Forecast of 59 tomorrow night.
Half of my post didn't show.
Sumpin ate it?????
Thanks for the Package of raindrops yesterday, Hood !
Total recd. = 3mm....
Well, it's a start, right ?
Taking the day OFF today. And this time, I'm Serious !
(well, unless I'm persuaded)
Too much gray makes me blue!
No big plan for the day.
I kind of like it that way.
Pottery, you may receive another shipment today.
About 12 hrs early
Fabulous !!
Came down in truck-loads, with lightening and loud noises.
Looks to be another hour or so.
Thanks, Capt.
We the Crew have always depended on you for Whatnot and Stuff.
Now, about that million $$$ we spoke about......
:):))
Speaking of $$$, do you have any idea what the surcharge is for Sunday delivery? Well I didn't. Then one of the pilots tried to cut corners by refilling in a local lake.
Huge drama trying to get a water bomber extracted from the tar.
As for me, it's been really pleasant weather so I've spent some time battling air potato plants that threaten to smother my hedge line.
(what happens at midnight...was that a hint?)
Good! Might actually be able to mow the lake front tomorrow.
Gonna sign off for a while and spend a little time w/M'lady.
Take good care!
Do do do do, da da da da...
These tunes were inspired today by a Swede missing the love of his life. The EU has a requirement that the parties to a union where one is of foreign birth must return to the homeland some period before the (k)not is tied. Wonder how many marriages here would occur if that were enforced. Say Lily pad is told to return to the Catskills for the winter (well in this example he is on passport) while the bride-to-be is confined to the Everglades. Makes one wonder if you would buy a house for a lady you dislike.
but in the words of the Bishop ... " Wove tru Wove "
Sunny day ahead.
One of the ranch calves thinks he's a puppy.
He would come in the house and watch TV if I'd let him.
He's a handsome buckskin color.
Sister named him Cowboy.
Thinking about making him a steer and keeping him around.
Every once and a while a keeper hits the ground.
:)
My usual routine is to start the coffee and then go
out in the garage and open all three doors and have
a smoke or two while the coffee is getting ready.
Don't usually turn on the laptop and check the weather
until I have my coffee. So, there I am, short sleeve
work shirt, swimming trunks, and flip flops. Hit the
door opening buttons and step out into WINTER. :)
Loved it, wasn't out there long, but loved it.
Shep, you're gonna need a bigger house!
RTL, Pleasantly cool here this morning. I'll take what I've got. Way too early for 40s.
Okay...Gotta get some work done. Back later.
well went to replace my ball joints this weekend joints were good but tie rod ends were history all fixed now
My ball joints are getting a bit warn too.
But my tie-rods are still good.
Have you tried glucosamine tablets?
:):))
Yeah.
It's a MEDicine. For ball joints and stuff.
Have you tried Oysters for your condition ?
Very good. And tasty too.
heheheheheh
All my tie rods, balljoints, and whatnots are operating optimally, TYVM! :))
Just wait.
Ya just can't take the Florida outta that boy.
Tell the country boys up there you are a retired General....you probably looked the part. Get a cigar and Ray Bans and that completes it.
:)))
I'll just put "his" TV out by the cattle gap.
He's a pretty agreeable young man.
:)
Oh darn. The early bird got the worm with that one.
:)))
Oh !
I was under an erroneous assumption.
Sorry!
One never knows, does one?
I suppose that it all Depends.
On whatnot and stuff.
Naturally.
heheheheh
Yep!
Early birds get worms.
Every time.
There's Meds for that too.
Apparently.
So I'm told, anyway.
I prefer Rum.
Cheers !
Lamb chops. Baked Potatos. Boiled stuff.....
Laters>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Been a long day so not sure how long I'll last tonight.
Wanted to drop by and let you all know, before I forget.
Some re-cabling scheduled here in the AM. Not sure how long it's gonna take, but will be off-line for a while!
Shep, have you dried out up there yet?
Lake still splashing into the yard here.
Pottery, Had enough yet?
Can NEVER get enough.
We ARE talking food, right ?
Dinner was very good.
Take the lamb chops, smother in Mint Sauce (not the jelly).
Wrap tight in foil.
Stick in oven for 1 hour.
Simple, but good.
Burp !
This one for you, Cappy.
You going to have to listen carefully.....
Will listen carefully later. M'lady is watching TV 10 feet away and doesn't appreciate me cranking the volume.
Hood out...
AH ! Silly me. I thought I was on Orca's blog, heheheheheheh
No rain today, an inch yesterday and 3/4" day before.
Looks to have moved on, and some dry ones ahead.
August was half the long-term average.
Some real torrential stuff from time to time caused floods and problems, but overall it's been drier than usual.
Sept is low too, so far.
The ITCZ looks to have gone.....
No, not really.
But, that's OK with me and Cowboy. :)
I live in a hilly part of the county that allowed me the opportunity to control excess water with minimal grading when I set this place up 25 years ago.
Let it rain.
The briars are prolific and fresh briar tips are a great substitute for radish.
:)
53*F in Macon this morning, clear skies, no rain in the near future. Makes for nice weather working in the yard and gardens. Have three large plant thingies to remove from the gardens today, they were supposed to be little plants but turned out to be giant plants. Sugar Bear says they are detrimental to the ambience of her garden design. Right.
Anotherwords, you want me to cut off their little arms and legs with a clippers, dig their roots up with a sharp bladed shovel, cut their tap root with a saw where it is attached to the earth, and throw the parts on the fire and burn the hell out of them until they are charcoal.
Honey, she said, their just plants, not aliens.
You've been watching too many movies. :)
So, RTL, you can't get away with just throwing some camo net over it? Can't just paint them to match?
Ambiance? Really?
I thought that had to do with candles, soft music, and wine.
Back later...trash day.
Cute song!
Thanks!
Shep,
I was thinking, maybe you ought to have someone else do "the proceedure" on your little buddy when you aren't around.
I don't really know how his species looks at it, but if someone did that to me, I wouldn't hang out with them anymore!
