All is good here..just listing to your tunes..thinking I need to go to bed...LOL
Yeah, Auburn...what Ski said...what if a cane or other disaster came and you couldn't get to the store? You should always have a week's worth of beer!
LOL
Ski,
Sometimes I think every critter is OZ is out to kill you. More than their share of deadly things!
Waste no more time cogitating on the conundrum my friend, you already had the answer within your very own comment. They, the wonderful but strange species that we married, live for their "lists". Somehow they "feel" that unless "they" give us directions we will wander off beyond their reach and not return until dinner time. Hmmmm, not a bad idea, what?
Todays mission is to go to Lowes and secure brackets and curtain rods to hold the new window treatments that she has been secretly creating and sewing in her Quilting/Sewing Room upstairs to go on the windows around the house. We have many windows.
Hmmmm, I have to leave the house and drive my car to Lowes. The road that Lowes is on takes me to the I-475 bypass which goes south to the road that the Harley-Davidson shop and the gun shop is on. :)
I mean have you ever seen the window treatment and hardware section at Lowes? There are thousands and thousands of different things to pick from. Why, it
could take hours just to see them all. Hours I tell you. :)
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Yes indeed!
Of course, a man with his acumen and aplomb will probably stop off and get a nice box of choccies or something, saying "took me HOURS to find the right ones".
That's wot I would do, anyway.
They don't believe it of course, because of the carton of nice new gadgets you are carrying in the other hand. But it's the thought that counts, or something.
Building a new step to the studio.
Complaints are coming in, about my "temporary" ones......
The List gets longer.
I LOVE the idea of a retreat called "List's End".
I will work toward this with renewed vigour!
Very good Pottery.
I shall redouble my efforts to find a suitable schooner to engage in the search for the place.
I'm not sure if that's the good part or the bad part.
It's bad, because some newbie ends up trying to shoulder your troubles and deal with your cares, and there's a good chance he's going to screw everything up before he gets it right... if he ever does.
Thanks Bogon!
I needed that.
I'm also inclined to agree!
(another good reason to be on a boat at an undisclosed location...with no phone!)
If you carry a cell phone, you are reachable 24/7. One of the principal benefits of the original wired phone design is that you could walk away from the dang thing. You could go fishin', and there were no phones on the boat.
And text messaging...I've got it turned off.
I have a blog, I have email, and if it really can't wait...I have a phone. More than plenty.
We are all so worried about being "connected", we forget that sometimes it's more important to be "off-line".
or so say I.
A lot converging here too. Might get nasty.
LOL
Never thought about that!
It's after 5 and the storms are getting close. A good time to shut down for a bit probably.
I'll go and check on the rum...
Massive Tstorms blew up here.
Tampa news guy even mentioned it.
said there were "no warnings, but it's been raining just about as hard as it can rain!"
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up except that there was a whole lotta lightning.
Quick check of the Robins AFB radar shows that RTL is in the clear.
Still a little lightning not too far off but moving away.
Drippy.
I have one you know.
But they are so small, I can NEVER find it.
And by the time I do, it's battery is dead as a doorstop.
And I can NEVER find the charger either.
Like Hood says, e-mail me and I'll see it in a while.
If there is an emergency, try to get my wife, she will know where I am.
Oh, and by the way, the land-line has been dead for months....
It's just fine!
A Schooner is nice and slow. Take your time....
Don't see them around here at all anymore.
Used to love to go to Grenada and Bequai and watch them being built on the beach. I guess they don't do that anymore.
List's End ????
When you reach it, that's what you name your boat.
:)
Tried to read back a few pages, but my eyes started to cross.
I'll check back later.
I need a nap :)
Thanks for the tune Goofy!
Shep,
Glad to see you. Take your time...not going anywhere.
(well...except maybe to bed.)
Time for me to sign off.
Take good care until the morrow!
So I took the 100' extension cord, the hedge clippers, the large limb lopper, the small limb lopper, the large rake, the small rake, and the hand saw that I had just loaded into the dump wagon prior to opening the garage door to go do the myrtles and put them all back in their respective places and then dumped the brown mulch back into the dump wagon and loaded the large shovel, the small shovel, and the small rake back into the dump wagon.
Then I came in the house to refresh my coffee and say hi to you guys.
I am now going back out to do the brown mulch unless of course the priorities have changed.
I will let you know. :)
Okay, we are friends, so I'm not going to comment on that.
No, I will just shake my head, mutter "poor guy" and move on.
Take care out there man...don't over do it.
Thanks for not whacking the turtles.
I feel your pain. I really do.
Chin up, my friend.
Your Rewards will be Many and Varied.
Like warts. No, that's not right, but, er, um, keep smiling !
Yep, he will be rewarded with loading his many and varied trimming apparatus and whatnot back into the trailer to go back to where he started from. (I bet he asks for a mission priority update first though!)
Thinking penne pasta with shrimp and veggies in alfredo sauce for dinner.
Yes, that sounds just right.....
Shall I bring my own rum ?
How was your day?
Make any progress on the list, or did yours get shuffled as well?
Funny how that topic pops up whenever Pottery is around, huh?
You're always welcome to pull up a chair man.
For the moment, I have a couple small task to do before I start dinner.
Back later.
Now I know Rob is a bit of space nut, no really, things to do with space. I found this early but waited until you lot were out of bed, not that it matters on the blog. I usually just send it to him but I reckon you lot will get a kick out of it.
Now click on the first video. That is my prezzy to you all today :)
Link
Dang I didn't know if anyone clicked on my tunes, I know Rob does from time to time even my freaky songs LOL
Click pop fizz slurp :0
With two of us, we can get them out. I am on one end with the net, the other poking them out with a boat hook LOL.
Since I was on my own. I took this dive bag out that has metal on one end and opens up, I could fit it over the end of the pipe, leave it there with no gaps and then poke the little buggers out with the boat hook and they were caught, bloody brilliant. Get the big one out and let the smallys go.
don't do the hot vodka thing like I did, twice I might add, face palm.
hang on got vodka and ice right now. NOPE, and double nope, Nice cold Dos Equis
thought you were a Fosters girl?
Angie just got home. Time to finish cooking.
Thanks for the Rover link. Cool stuff!
Some how I got into the Mexican amber, Negra Mondela is better but not on sale right now. Don't worry when the green Fosters oil cans go on sale I am all over it
Bah !
I missed the boat, man !
A real shame that, as your dinner sounded real sweet compared to my Omelette. (is that really how you spell omlet ??)
Anyway, mi List was indeed Revised, in the middle of putting up a water tank and stuff, because it turns out that Steps are more Important.
Well, I've done the steps, and managed to get some conc. placed to balance the tank-stand on, which WAS to have happened tomorrow.
However, unfortunately, the heap of dirt (now an evil mass of gooey mud) is in The Way of something, and MUST be relocated in the morning, down a flight of garden steps, to a 'low spot'.
This will make Everyone very happy.
Except me!
This dirt here is in fact clay. When it gets wet, it turns to glue.
It sticks to the shovel, your boots, the barrow, and your soul.
And it weighs 100 lbs /cu.in... approximately, of course.
It has the wonderful ability to make you remember words that you have not used in years. Like "if I don't get a massage after this, I'm going to bite you on the leg!"
Come to think of it, where's that shovel? I could make a start right now ! It's only 9 o'clock.....
I believe it is spelled Omelet?
Okay...it's clay, which is what we use to make ceramic objects...right?
Why move it down hill. Tell her to get busy making chickens and mosaics and such!
:o)
You know, sounds less drastic.
Sometimes it's all in the selection of appropriate wording you know!
Great belly rubbing music...one of my all time favs!
Another fav.
Enjoy...see ya in the morning!
Take good care!
Not this stuff.
It's dread!
20% shrinkage for one thing.
You can break a leg around here in the dry season, with 3" cracks in the ground all over.
Known locally as "Sapate" with the emphasis on the last 'e'.
Have a great evening, and be careful of the nibbling.....
:):))
Okay Pottery...who told you that I was farsighted?
hehhehheh!
Okay, I'm really off now. The dancing is done, M'lady is ready for bed.
