Unless the gator was dinner for tomorrow.
And he was, but there is always tomorrow :)
It's tough being a bachelor (albeit short lived)>
I understand your pain...but enjoy it while it lasts!
Hopefully the homecoming will make it all worthwhile.
have they looked at this?
Will withhold judgement until the GFS and ECMWF come into closer agreement.
Alas, I am not a bachelor tonight.
M'lady is ready for bed. Need to come up with a quick song to sign off with.
or:
take your pick.
-Hood out!
Used to put on "Bat Out of Hell" pullin' outa' Qua Qua some years ago.
Meat Loaf!
Yes, I know its only 0512 in the morning.
I have always had a profound grasp of the obvious. :)
Aah, coffee is ready, time to go check on the blob.
That's the guy, LMAO !
Missed the heat this morning, to the chagrin of Lady Pott.
My computation of the time difference between here and the UK was off. By 1 hour....
But he swam in 21:77 secs, fastest time in the heats.
Semis at 2:30 my time today.
Looking good.
A swarm of guys at 21:80 - 22:20.
Going to be close. But 50 meters does not give much time for error......
I used to sing something about caramel and cheerleaders...Does that count?
:)
We used to sing cadence songs in Jump School.
Does that count? :)
"My girl drinks Budweiser Beer,
She's an Airborne Ranger Engineer,
La la la la la la la,
Rob was worried I'd sing the rest"
Of course it loses the effect when you clean it up. :)
Yes, Sir.
Budweiser is "always" a qualifying factor.
Especially if she has a tattoo that says, Edit:
Shep sometimes forgets this is a "family" wall here.
My bad
:)
Serve your sandwiches in a bowl, not a bun.
Yeah, I know...
:)))
Given the choices, I'll go with caramel.
Now...back to solving the really big mysteries, like:
Where do forest rangers go to get away from it all?
Reassuring to have you back at the helm of the Ark. folks can go a bit "Snakey", shall we say, especially while towing a water skier and being Shepherded.
Some fairly good Pots were thrown, though.
While waiting for the next photo to be approved I'll try to bring this comment to your blog.
Thanks YCD. Will pop over to your blog to check for the photo in a while.
The fallen rock is cool, but the organic rain deflector is still my favorite.
Out to the blue water in the Keys???
When you can't see land anymore, go 5 more miles and cutoff the motor. Drift north for a while. Repeat.
:)
I just want to go some place cool and sleep for 3 days!
Hmmmm...
You might enjoy the "cocoa bands" at carnival here, then.
The girls cover themselves in chocolate sauce.
They are quite edible, don't you know?
Weather is about to go downhill rain-wise here in a short while.
Check this site for Barbados--- radar, lightening, etc. A good one...
www.brohavwx.com
Been a Hot and Steamy one.
Lady Pott wants to know ...
"why don't we live in Tobago,
where the gentle sea-breezes blow
and humidity is nice and low?"
sometimes she gets Poetic.........
It's often a Bad Sign.
Been busy as a barrel of bees all day
and it won't be over for awhile. Kids
and grands coming over for dinner soon.
Will check back in later! Just waiting on
the pasta to finish. Oops, its finished!
That sums it up pretty well, Snakeymon.
I know the feeling well.
There aren't as many hours in the day as there used to be.
Especially when you goof-off in front the TV watching The Games for a couple hours.
Oh well, I will try to catch up.
In September....
Anyone braved the main yet!
Click pop fizz slurp
Spent the day looking for more lobby holes, found some ripper holes with lots of shelf, not far away and in about 15ft. More trash which is always good for a couple. So added around 10 more spots to our list.
They go fishing silly, :)
The main has been psycho today.
Don't go!
Pottery,
Tell your lovely lady that this is probably not the day to go to Tobago. When the GFS and ECMWF are in agreement, I weigh that heavily. Every NHC update they have shifted the track to the south. Unless the center relocates...which seems possible. Also possible is that it outruns it's convection considering the forward speed.
You should at least have some cooling showers and breezes from this.
Barrel of Beez,
Glad that you are starting to feel better.
Okay guys and gals,
Can't really do songs tonight.
I've had a headache since I woke up this morning, so carry on without me.
Rest well and have a great night!
-Hood out.
Just went on a fullmoon cruise with me neighbors, excellent, calmish, breeze dang hot from the south though. It was 90 plus water temp oceanside. yikes
fixed it.
How ya doing Shep
Will I live to see 80?
Here's something to think about.
I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After Two visits
A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, 'Do you think I'll live to be 80?'
He asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer, wine or hard liquor?'
'Oh no,' I replied, 'I'm not doing drugs, either!'
Then he asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?'
I said, 'Not much... my former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!'
'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, boating, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?'
'No, I don't,' I said.
He asked, 'Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lots of sex?'
'No,' I said...
He looked at me and said, 'Then, why do you even give a sh%t'

Now that is funny stuff. You owe me a cleaning hanky for my tablet..... no, I just used my shirt :)
And now for something completely different. LOL !
Is he one of the original rappers?
Just wanted to second Waterskiman's take on gettin' old.
Uh?
Then don't take my suggestion.
If you go out to the Gulf Stream in the Keys, cut off the motor, and sleep for tree days,(that's Irish for "Three Days")then your gonna wake up 50 miles offshore the Carols somewhere.
But then, up there all you need to do is follow the sun or the stars to find your way back to land. :)
A few tasks to accomplish this am.
Back later...
Yeah, only got "one". New Evinrude Etech.
I'm gearing up to head to Longwood Sunday morning to start makeover on daughter's new house.
I put the boat "to bed" until I get back. Finished with painting it, just need to polish it and reinstall all the hardware and such.
Then she's southbound, hammer down...
:)
I want a swim and a soft pillow.
Think this is gonna be Chinese takeout night.
Lots of fun and activities inside, outside, upstairs, and downstairs.
And sometimes up and down the stairs!
If we could only get some of that energy back.
Have fun tonight, Grandpa is going for a nap!
Watch yourself down there, there be a blob off your starboard side Captain!
I'm not touching that one.
:)
Skye's watching the blob, so we can all rest easy.
She'll let us know what's up!
Rest well folks....
Hood out!
Ernesto came and went.
Showers (some heavy rain in northern parts of the Island) but no wind.
Breezes were cool out of the south and S/E though.
Some more mischief is brewing out in the Atl, too.
Y'all check yer anchors.
Might need them soon.....
Oh my, not the blob thing. Pay attention for we are set up for homegrown's this year. Yikes!
Wow, I just had a chance to review and catch up with the hybridsat images and I don't think things are shaping up as expected with our disturbance. It is much lower and could ultimately influence the guiding weakness to follow and influence our item in the Carib.
And now the music :)
Atlantic seems to be getting really busy, eh?
Todays mission is to dismantle the "Sword Room" so we will have an extra bedroom again in case we have visitors from Florida running from a cane!
Should only take me, oh, say, three days!
I have a lot of swords on the walls. :)
I have a nice double bladed five foot long two handed twenty pound Scottish Claymore I'm saving for someone. Will hide that one in the closet in case they show up here!
Better get started, SugarBear says she's not putting any bedroom furniture in there until the walls don't have any sharp things hanging from them. :)
Lets see, 20 swords, a few battle axes, some maces, lots of daggers, a few rapiers, a couple of spears, two hunting bows, some short swords, 25 Bowie knives, some Sais, some Nunchucks, a few Samuri Swords, oh, and four sabers and a cutlass. Thats all I think. :)
Anybody want any of this stuff?
Get your order in soon! :)
And you wonder why you have a RED folder?
Take some pics before you take them all down.
Would love to see the collection...email me.
Can't believe you're getting rid of the old battle axe.
So far, Ernesto doing what I said it would. Too early to worry much about Florence. Nice to know your getting my room ready!
Angie would be disappointed that the blades were gone though.
:o)
Okay...gotta go see if the coffee's ready.
Get rid of her by all means.
Keep SB though.....
heheheheh.
Spent the morning immersed in bushes and nettles.
Found a nice big bunch of Bananas though.
Watched some of the Sprints.
3 of our guys through to the next round. So far so good.
Bolt, Blake, Gatlin & Co. are running like quicksilver though.
Should be a Brilliant next round.
Nice choice. Haven't heard that song in a very long time.
As for the blob trailer...yeah, that's pretty much what it looked like on WV loop yesterday.
The 5 day
