Wellington, FL Flooding

Good Morning All. I went down to Wellington yesterday to help my Mother In-Law home from work as roads into her house were being closed one after another. I was able to forge a dry path into the back entrance of her subdivision so she was able to drive home with her car. On my way down to Wellington Isaac finally let go of the feeder band that had been plaguing the east coast for over 24hours and miraculously the rains just all of a sudden ended in Wellington upon my arrival. The severe storm warning that was issued for Wellington ended up hitting my house in Jupiter as the band quickly shifted eastward and off the coast as Isaac let go. Not a moment too soon as many areas were facing complete inundation. Many roads were impassable. My Uncle has a rental in the Binks Forest area that I was not able to reach to check the flooding situation there. Tenants were unreachable as well, going to try again today. Also took some pics of the staging area for relief efforts. There must have been 500 plus electric trucks there, looked like they were getting ready to head North *Help Is On The Way*. Below is an areal view of Wellington.

I took some pics of the flooding but many of the hardest hit areas I was unable to reach.

Your welcome Gamma. Seems the brunt was in Boynton, Greenacres, Wellington, Acreage and Jupiter Farms. At least in Palm Beach County anyway. Supposed to rain again tomorrow in those areas. Good thing today's rains were rather short lived in the areas hardest hit.

Very selective with Isaac. Funny thing was our worst winds and rain didn't start until he was 400 miles away. I am sure a lot were taken by surprise, including the officials. Glad you made it through ok.

Thanks for sharing thoses photos ProPulse. It's amazing how much difference the Isaac experience was here on the west coast. Since Sunday we probably only have received a total of 3.5 inches. Got some light rain here this morning, but it didn't last long. Wind gusts never got above 40 and sustained arond 30.
