We had a lovely day for mid November. Just a little wind, cool,but no where near cold. It rained quite a bit in the evening but was clear by 8am.

Tonight, however, things are getting stormy starting about 10pm. We are under a wind watch with 35 to 40 MPH expected and gusts up to 40-45 or so. As long as we don't lose power, it will be great! Good enough to be a fun storm to watch, but not so bad as to cause real lasting damage unless people are stupid ,of course.

we have battened down the hatches!

I thought I would blog about the weather on the Palouse at least for this winter season.

Reports call for a mild El Nino which should mean more rain,less snow, and mild temperatures. On the other hand, the last "El Nino" we had gave us a few nice blizzards and record snowfall, so we will see what happens.

So far we have had a little snow, but 4 inches that melted pretty fast at the 2300 foot level. 10 inche...
