Wet and Windy expected soon

We had a lovely day for mid November. Just a little wind, cool, but no where near cold. It rained quite a bit in the evening but was clear by 8am.

Tonight, however, things are getting stormy starting about 10pm. We are under a wind watch with 35 to 40 MPH expected and gusts up to 40-45 or so. As long as we don't lose power, it will be great! Good enough to be a fun storm to watch, but not so bad as to cause real lasting damage unless people are stupid ,of course.

we have battened down the hatches!

Greetings readers. If any

I thought I would blog about the weather on the Palouse at least for this winter season.

Reports call for a mild El Nino which should mean more rain, less snow, and mild temperatures. On the other hand, the last "El Nino" we had gave us a few nice blizzards and record snowfall, so we will see what happens.

So far we have had a little snow, but 4 inches that melted pretty fast at the 2300 foot level. 10 inches reported on our local mountain at 4700 feet. Rain expected tomorrow and into the weekend. I'll try to post pictures too.
