Nice overnight low ! A few minutes past sunrise 62.4 °F and the daytime high was 82.4 °F a few hours earlier. Temps forecasted to be in the mid to lower 50's the next few days. The cold front or cooler air must have flowed into the region.

NWS Shreveport Issued a Severe Thunderstorm warning at 3:22 PM CDT August 18. You could hear distant thunder, yet it wasn't until nearly 4:30 PM that the storm arrived with close lightning and very loud thunderclaps.
