I saw on Gamma'a blog where you are feeling a little under the weather. I hope it passes quickly!
Good luck on the baking!
Thanks so much Ylee. I am gonna take it a little easy today and not push like I have for the past month. Baby steps today.....ha,ha.
I'm late this year and got everything finally done but the indoor decorations...that's tomorrow's agenda :)
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you soon feel better, you have Christmas to prepare:(
I had a card waiting for me when I got home - Thank you:)
Bed now, I will check back in tomorrow to see if you have improved - lots to drink and take the Flu tablets.
I echo everyone's sentiments in that you'll be able to nurse yourself back to health in reasonable time before the big holidays! You've done a magnificent job decorating your home for Christmas and hope you can just kick back awhile and enjoy the scenery from within. There's no shame in asking your hubby or other loved ones for help while under the weather. I'm sure you do enough to help them when they're sick, so fair is fair.
Continue to take it easy, and I'll try and check back with you again real soon!
Take care!
I am so sorry you are getting Flu 8 days before Christmas.
Hope it is not one that last 10 days or longer.
Take care, get rest, drink liquids... did you get your flu shot this year?
Feel better my friend!

Here's wishing your ornaments stay intact and your nose gets unstuffed.
Sorry about the flu.... look, keep an eye on your temp, if it goes much higher, better call the doc
Thinking of you.
I am just not a good sick person. I know I am sick when all I want to do is hang out on the couch. Thanks goodness I got all the Christmas planned and completed before this bug hit. Gonna take it easy again today and tomorrow then try to get back into some kind of schedule.
Thank you so much for the kind comments. They mean so much to me. Hopefully by the middle of next week I will be back to normal.
Don't be like me.....get a flu shot.

Y'all take care.
See y'all on the flip-flop.

My doctor told me the flu shot doesn't stop you getting flu - it stops you getting it bad enough to be life-threatening:(
I do hope you are beginning to feel more human...... :-)
Good thing you had everything more or less done and/or planned out before this hit.
You just take it easy, rest, drink plenty of fluids and hopefully, you'll be better by this coming weekend.
Did you call your doctor? There are those anti-virals you can take that will alleviate the symptoms and shorten the span. There's a short window of opportunity to start taking them, though. Within 24 hours of onset of symptoms, I think. They can also keep Hubby from contracting it.
I had the flu about 20 years ago. I thought it was a cold, at first, and called in sick at work. I progressively got worse as the day went on. Hubby got home from work to find me in the throes of severe ague and high fever. He's totally clueless, went into a panic and ran next door for the neighbor lady, thinking that I was dying. (I did feel like I was! LOL) She told him it was probably the flu and to call our doctor. He prescribed the anti virals and gave us a double scrip, so that HUbby could take them, too. He never got sick, despite sleeping in the same bed.
Sandi, no, the flu shots won't ward off all flu viruses. They're geared towards the one they feel will be most prevalent that year. You can still get the flu and having had a flu shot can help keep it from being really bad.
We are required to get them at work. If you can't take the flu shot, or won't, you have to wear a face mask from Jan 1st through March 31st.
Feeling stronger each day. Yesterday was a good day. Son arrived about 2;30 and we had a great catch up visit. Today the pool gurus are going to try to find our pool leak...good luck! Humm....isn't it always something.
My neighbor the car working periodontist decided to work on something in his garage last night, probably one of his old card. He always works with music and last night the tom toms resonated in our bedroom. Just what I needed. This went on until 10:30. it will not go on tonight.....
Hope y'all are making it through the final days to C. I just found my family will even eat store bought cookies...No baking. I may hold off until Easter.
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit perkier while recuperating from the flu, taking it a bit easy and your son will be home soon to share Christmas with you and hubby! May you also be able to enjoy the remainder of the month leading to each of the big holidays!
WISH IT WERE WARM ENOUGH UP HERE TO GO TO THE BEACH! WE HAD AN OVERNIGHT LOW OF TEN DEGREES! OUCH! LOL!
Have a wonderful Christmas dear Sarah...Blessings to you all.
Good luck!
We were going to have a Wii day ourselves, but then ended up doing some last minute shopping and book reading on the couch with a little nap thrown in there. Now, we're contemplating dinner...I think spaghetti and a salad are in order.
Minnie sure looks like she's in the Christmas spirit.
Enjoy the day.
Glad you are feeling better. Enjoy your son's visit and the holidays.

Merry Christmas and a Healthy & Happy New Year 2012!
"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons.
It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn%u2019t before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn%u2019t come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more."
- Dr. Seuss
Son should be there now, so hope you are feeling better and ready to enjoy Christmas.
Hope you have a wonderful time:)
We can now use our 52" screen TV as a computer monitor! Oh no! Oversized WU or Facebook!!! LOL

Here's a "Christmas card" for you!
See you soon!
Good Morning. We are cloudy and warm here in the land of Mickey and Minnie. Yesterday was a go to the beach day with the temp reaching 85 degrees. Today with the clouds and the slight possibility of rain we will not be as warm. A very strange Christmas Eve day. Last year we were covering plants due to the chance of a major frost. This year we are in shorts and flip flops. Hope your Christmas Eve day is lovely in your part of the US.
Karen, love your picture. Thank you! Glad you got out the ole WII. I have laughed so hard at the bowling. Have a wonderful Christmas. See ya after the big day.
MERRY CHRISTMAS from the cool Bay of Fudny, hope Santa delivers on all your wishes. I am told we are pretty well ready to go, however do see a 'yes dear list' being compiled.
Have a great one.
ROB
Hoping you and yours enjoy tomorrows festivities.
